remember you're gonna need to install programs such as word or whatever else (assuming you don't want to use apples text edit because its awful)

imo i would go with the pro, plus you don't want to buy a computer and eventually down the line fill up your hard drive

you might as well get your $ worth (more memory, faster processer, etc.) and cop the pro since the air 13" is very close to the pro's price. unless you're carrying your computer around often, who cares if your computer is lighter and thinner.
