Gorilla shot after 4yr old falls in enclosure VOL.....RIP HARAMBE

Ahhhh now they pull out the parents criminal history. Was he robbing the zoo while his son was climbing in? I don't get how that's relevant here

I saw his criminal history being disclosed in an article too. Unbelievable. Dude wasn't even present and they wanna sling dirt on his name because of a 1998 burglary and some parking tickets. He must have been heated when he saw that :rollin

SMH.

I hope he sues. Seriously.

I'm all for child negligence, I feel bad for the killing of the Gorilla. But to pull the Father's background when he wasn't even there?

The zoo did what it had to do. Risk legal ramifications for allowing a child to, possibly, be killed by one of their animals, or put the animal down n save the kids life? Katch 22 in this kase, but whats done is done. Yeah the mother should be held accountable for the negligence on her behalf, but not by taking the kid away. Thats not even how CPS works, in most kases. Theyll do checkups every now n then to make sure the child is being raised in a safe environment (living konditions, shelter, klothing, etc). Also, the zoo needs to reevaluate the safeguards used to prevent people, especially children, from entering the exhibits. Its sad all around, from the child being placed in danger to the gorilla being killed. Personally, if it was an adult in there, i wouldnt mind the zoo looking the other way, which they wouldnt due to liability, i presume. However, when it is a child, that childs life takes priority over the gorillas, no matter how kalm it may seem, kuz there is no way in knowing the outkome.

Korrekt.

Put some respek on it!

People on NT care more about gorillas than trayvon Martin when that thread was booming.

You have 3 buttons in front of you

1 kills 10,000 endangered species

2 kills 10,000 humans

3 kills yourself

You have to push one of them...

#gorillalivesmatter
This thread is only 17 pages long...
I was vocal in threads that Trayvon came up in. Was very vocal against some of ya NT Nazi, supremacist types.

You can even see a recent post of me in the case gun auction thread hoping the worst for Zimm. Not that it matters....

Silly comment.

just saw a video from 2014 at the same zoo and habitat with kids hanging over the rails.

we going to find the parents of those kids and call them negligent?

1. But that's contingent on me being able to eat the animals. I've always wanted to try Bald Eagle wing

That's a stretch, but I sort of get where you're coming from.

This situation with the gorilla is (sadly) rarer than unarmed kids being killed by cops (or wanna-be cops).  A lot of the outrage stems from this situation being abnormal, so more people feel the need to add their two cents. Whereas the killing of unarmed black kids happens so often that it's like "business as usual." That's a sad story in and of itself.

Sues for what? Not saying it was proper to broadcast that info but what would you pursue litigation for?

All I care about is that a little kid is safe. I don't really care about how it got done, or how the ankle biter got there in the first place. It's a shame that the SBG had to die.....

Defamation of Character?

What exactly is the point of pulling background? What are they trying to portray the family to justify the killing of a Gorilla?

If they didn't incorrectly report anything that won't go anywhere. Even if they did it would probably not go anywhere
