Gotham Knight video game (new trailer) 8/22/20 p.66

You are literally the only person I have ever known who doesn't enjoy the Arkham Series

That's funny, let me guess what others game the play... "every mainstream game here" ... yeah thought so.
You didn't have to get so defensive. It's not like I have a problem with your opinion.

speaking of Superman Avy. Are these guys working on a Superman one? I feel if anybody could do it right with an open world and flying they could.

Like someone said up there if they pull off this villain being Red Hood thats going to be :eek

Nope.Nobody cares about Superman. Look at the movie. It was so bad that they had to add Batman in the next one to get any hype.

They said were supposedly going to add some JL members in their next project, Rocksteady said that after City though so I think most assume it would have happened with this one but it might be the one after.

I mean imagine AK ending with all the villains locked up in Gotham and then a space ship crashes and aliens start attacking the city and then you just see a blue blur before the screen goes black.

Oh yeah and then if they make nothing but MoS films then everyone's going to say, where's the JL movie!?!?!?!
Like they didn't plant the seed by including countless Bruce Wayne teasers in MoS.

And because MoS (reboot) making $670m was a big failure.

batman has such a bigger fanbase that Begins (reboot) only made $375m while even the craptacular SR made more with $391m.

:lol

Movie was decent. Fight scenes sucked. Toooooooo unrealistic even for Superman. I'd like to see what they would do with the game though.

JL is years away. If they even make one. And you can tease other heroes and still make a stand alone trilogy. You dont see Thor and CA co-starring in Iron Man flicks.

Truth is you can only do so much with Superman's story. I mean look at all the reboots. Unfortunately you cant turn manure into diamonds. Hence the desperate addition of Batman.

And are really comparing box office numbers with a movie that came out almost 10 years ago? Who do you think helped paved the way for the Superhero hypetrain? Spider-Man and Batman

And I like how you conveniently left out TDK and DKR

Umm, Superman has been rebooted once, MoS and that is it. SR is a continuation of Donner films from the 70s. And speaking of paving the way, w/o Superman none of these heroes would exist. Superman paved the way in TV Shows from the 50's and movies from the 70's.

And yes I am comparing Begins to MoS, they are both reboots/starts of the franchise. 10 years isn't that long ago, that is still within this generation. Technically Begins is only 9 years ago but whatever. You act like I am comparing 70's Superman to todays. Hell Begins (2005) and Returns (2006) are only 1 year apart and then IronMan in (2008) which made $800m+. So I am not sure why you think it isn't relevant comparing the films within the same decade?

I didn't conveniently leave out TDK and TDKR because those are sequels, not reboots. I clearly put them in parenthesis for a reason. I also only included SR because it's the first Superman film in 19 years when it released.

So you wanted me to compare practically one Superman film (from a reboot/start of a franchise) to a Batman trilogy? You wanted MoS to make $3b to show that he is relevant today? :lol

And if you don't think there are many Superman stories to go to, then you really know nothing about comics. :rollin

It isn't exactly a desperate move, maybe rushed but far from desperate, DCs has planned to make a Superman/Batman film since even before Begins started filming. Google Batman/Superman 2002 scripts and you'll see several plans to make the film that wen't nowhere and it eventually turned into Batman Begins. Hell they even already casted Common as GL for a JLA film, go google his interviews, he was already hired and the writers strike eventually broke the chances of it being made.

that would be incredible. :x :eek man do you work for them. This sounds like something that they would do :lol

Something tells me that this Arkham Knight character is more anti-hero than villain.

You get Harley Quinn for all pre-order plus 4 maps but for Walmart, you get the playable prototype batmobile too with exclusive gameplay features. Looks pretty cool and smaller, almost like a Can-Am or something.

Gamestop is giving a Batman 75th anniversary poster.

Waiting for a special deluxe edition that will have some sort of statue and other mumbo jumbos, I'm sure they'll have one especially this being Batmans 75th year and the game being the last from Rocksteady.

Batman Arkham Knight: The Story behind the new Batsuit

In the latest Rocksteady release Batman: Arkham Knight, Bruce Wayne has a new suit and it looks unreal! GameInformer spoke with the creative team who designed the new Batsuit to get an insight into its creation.

In the Arkham Knight, Batman doesn’t just kick off a new adventure in the new suit. The new creation is a result of the introduction of the Batmobile. We can see how he viciously enters and exits the car and with that comes a more secure, solid suit. The design team made sure that both the new Batsuit and the car where compatible with each other in both their design, structures, and its functionality.

Art Directors David Hego says, “You put them next to each other, and you can see that they’re coming from the same family”.

“You get the same elements on Batman’s suit, you have the same shapes, you have different metal shaders between carbon fiber and the brushed metal shininess. That’s the visual story. The story behind it is that Batman has this new car, and he’s doing all this crazy s— with it, and he needs to eject at mach 3 out of it.”

Lead character artist Albert Feliu talks about the catch 22 situation with both the great technological opportunities and challenges that new tech brings with the next generation consoles. “I remember having a meeting with David a year and a half ago, and we were talking about what we could do to make Batman’s suit really special. The Batmobile was there, and we started talking. We wanted to do something that was awesome – it was going to look amazing in terms of shaders and new techniques, but it needs to look different. We couldn’t go the same way. We had to diverge in a new direction, where people would notice that this is a next-gen Arkham. That was our goal – all the materials, all the leathers, and everything that kind of went with that. It takes five or six times more time to make Batman than any other character, so it was heavy and it was hard work, but I thought it paid off in a way.”

Studio head Jamie Walker says they have gone beyond just creating a bat suit that cosmeticly looks good, “He can move in it. That’s very important to us to have an authentic feel. Parts of it that haven’t ever been before are now articulated as well, so they all move in a different way.”

If your strength is “attention to detail” you would have noticed there is a change to the Dark Knight’s cape in the trailer, its had an upgrade and gives him the ability to glide more effectively which supports the game play. “The cape still covers the shoulders, but now he has the armour on top,” Feliu says. “If you imagine, if you were gliding down like Batman, down a city, to support that amount of muscle and weight, it makes more sense that it was attached to the cowl. What we did was build this armor thing, and one of the purposes of it was to hold the cape in place when it’s gliding around and all this ridiculous force to keep Batman and the cape attached. The cape is actually still there, it’s just that it’s covered.”

Hego also goes on to mention, “It’s maybe a little more realistic and a little less theatrical than what we had before,” Hego adds. “It makes a little more sense of how it would work if someone were crazy enough to do it. There are maybe a few more questions answered with the tech and how it could work together than we did before.”
