i got thick hair, not like brillo pad thick but rug hair, i havent cut my hair since november, its curly but not too curly, i just wear it out with a band orone of those soccer player bands, im hispanic btw. so if you wanna grow it out, u gotta deal thru a few akward stages,

Hats. Lots of Hats. That's what I did, now I have a jewfro...but I still rock hats, it's not long enough yet. Been growing it out for a year and 3months.

im assuming you are white? anyway i grew mine for a while when i was at school and there are some ackward stages but just rock a fitted...my hair is very thicktho once it got past my ears it had to go it gets too itchy and hot during the summer
