GSWARRIORS THREAD VOL. ANDDD AGAINNNN NBA CHAMPIONS

Surprised the calves aren't trying to get better
Well, they're in a tough situation with that cap space. They re-signed Korver, but I'm not sure how much that'll help the Cavs.
Really silly thing to say that they arent trying to get better.  Of course they are trying to get better.  They just have very limited ways of doing so because of how much money they have already out to their current players.  But they are definitely trying to get better.

anyway warriors can look at tony allen or barbosa before nick young?
I am sure I am in the minority here, but I wouldnt want either Allen or Barbosa before Swaggy.  Neither of them would provide nearly the amount Young would.

Not mad at it. Really depends on what your bringing him into do tho honestly.if Allen wasnt such a liability on offense I'd be all for first team defense on the squad. Help shoulder the defensive load

The difference between Tony Allen's defense and Nick Young's defense is not nearly as large as the difference between Nick Young's offense and Tony Allen's offense. Swaggy is a serviceable defender and a good offensive player. Allen is a good, albeit declining, defender and a god awful offensive player.

Give me Nick Young all day.

And I am all for nostalgia and what not....but no thanks on Barbosa. Easy pass.

KD is the ultimate team player with the $53 million/2yr deal.

the fact that he's only making about $4 million more than JJ Reddick next season is crazy. KD is that dude. It's also somewhat smart on his end to sign an only two year deal. in the next two years it's very feasible that he could win another 2 rings with Klay, Dray, and Steph all under contract. In two years, that NBA max-contract will be looking probably looking like $50million a year. At that point, he can leave with his three rings and Finals MVP award..at 30 years old, teams will still be willing to ink him to 5 years/$250 million especially when we think about how much teams were willing to throw at a 32 year old CP3 who's best days may be behind him

i like the Casspi signing. it aint a splash by any means but a 6'9" guy who plays 3/4 off the bench and can spread the court and get rebounds. if there's something that the bench was missing, it was a guy who can reliably hit an open 3.

shaun, mccaw, iggy, casspi, (hopefully) javale, west, bell, barnes...that's a solid rotation, at least defensively and on the glass.
