Even her having superpowers wasn't easy to realize. It was almost obvious that she knew something about him or was keeping a secret though.

The original plot (which was miles ahead of the one we witnessed) was written years ago, called Tonight, HeComes and was suppossed to be directed by Tony Scott. (He directed Enemy of the State with Will in 9. It sat around in development hell for a whilethen was picked up in 2005 and changed around.
