What's the significance of those 8Ball jackets?

I'm not a street cat and I've never been to NY.
like i said on ig, either you were that ***** or a robbery victim if you had one back in the day. period. no in betweens.

Legal experts of NT...why did 8 ball get charged w/ assault when he was clearly attacked? I hope the charges get dropped.

Anytime you retaliate in a physical manner it's assault champ, simple as that. As far as the charges go, the main girl was charged with felony assault and 8-ball jacket with misdemeanor assault. As the law goes, 8-ball has to be charged even though his charge might get dropped.

Even if you kill somebody depending on the circumstance, it's still homicide. The homicide could either be justified, or by means of self-defense.....but homicide nonetheless.

1. Are you a legal expert, champ? (and yes...I know I just set myself up for one of your Jay-Z references..."I ain't pass the bar....")

2. (to the large print) - are you sure?

3. So you're saying that you will ALWAYS be charged with assault when defending yourself, no matter what the situation?

1.  As it pertains to DC........YES I am a legal expert.  Obviously laws vary from state to state, region to region, but as it pertains to DC if that same incident occurred on Metro, 8-ball would still be looking at a charge of simple assault as it is defined.  We don't have a charge of misdemeanor assault in DC, although the charge or simple assault is a misdemeanor.  DC does have a felony assault charge that exists.

Good point on the Jay Z reference too................you're getting better

2.  Generally speaking yes, if a police officer were on that subway and saw that incident take place he or she could still charge 8-ball with assault, simply for physically and aggressively touching the girl.   You also have to consider that this video went viral, and is not a good look for NYC or riding the subway in New York, so the city is going to make an example out of both individuals be it right or wrong.

3.  Yes.  There's a difference between pushing someone off of you who is attacking you and striking someone with a fist or an open hand slap, which is what 8-ball did.  Also, you have to remember that different law enforcement officers think differently and allow things to occur that another might not.  One cop could charge a person with disorderly conduct on a train and another cop might not care or look the other way, that's just the way it is.  Sometimes it's just a matter of which police officer or judicial system you run into on a particular day.

According to the comments on the news article, he's still in jail and can't make bail. :{

Can kickstarter be used to post bail for this dude? I am seriously considering starting one.
