We can make progress against Covid-19 on many fronts. Better therapeutics and treatment protocols, social distancing and masks, and eventually a vaccine.

But one front that could develop quickly and could make a big impact is improved screening. We're not too far off from diagnostics where people could test themselves as often as every day. For a compliant population, this would be game-changing and could rapidly reduce the spread of the virus. It would even eradicate it if people cooperated and the proper infrastructure was there to support people who test positive (designated hotel rooms for self-isolation, for example).
