Five infected with coronavirus in France are all British, minister says

All five of the new coronavirus cases identified in France are British nationals, the country’s health minister has said.
A child is among those who have contracted the virus, one of whom had been in Singapore between 20 and 23 January, Agnes Buzyn said at a press conference.

France has now confirmed 11 cases of the virus since the outbreak began. The third person found to be infected with the virus in the UK is also believed to have caught it in Singapore.

Taiwan just confirmed its 17th case

Taiwan confirmed its 17th Wuhan coronavirus case Saturday, according to the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The patient is a man in his 20s and the son of an infected couple. He is now in isolation.
The family travelled to Italy with transit in Hong Kong from January 22 to 31, and returned to Taiwan through Hong Kong on February 1.
The son developed a cough on January 27 during their trip.

*They had a brief layover in Hong Kong Intl Airport

UPDATE on American who died from cNoV...She was in her 60s, Chinese descent, resided in Wuhan, moved from Hong Kong. She had pre-existing medical conditions. No reason given of why she didn't fly back on "rescue" flights back to US.

My source (friend) didnt go beyond that ... I respect the hell out of their friend ... Met them a few times and was really down to earth but you could just tell there was some more **** going on inside the mind ... When they talked about their job I was in awe ... The quintessential high-level trustworthy official ... Wont be able to get a damn word out of them that isnt supposed to be public lol ...
 
Am from Singapore and the way people are stockpiling groceries is ridiculous its as if the zombie apocalypse is looming bunch of clowns.
 


Professor Neil Ferguson, an infectious disease expert at Imperial College London, and the dean of the School of Public Health, said in an interview on February 5 that according to the epidemiological model, there are currently "at least" 50,000 people Infected with Wuhan virus! And the number of infected people will double every 5 days
