nah she’s just doubling down on her “freedoms” and “individual choice” bull****. When that “personal choice” affects millions of lives (and deaths)…GFY.

what I don’t get is what’s up with the weird fonts on certain words

Honest question. Are there a large amount of hospital workers just in it for the money? How else can you explain this? They like science and medicines and ivs and certain treatments but it stops here? This has me wondering. How many folks are truly anti vax for everything since birth?

I don’t feel they should be shamed if they’ve been front line since the beginning . I feel a certain amount of time or persons should be granted for the front line workers who were there since the beginning. I’m noticing many stay at home and work from home folks are able to easily announce their plans. Why aren’t these entities being forced vaccination? Easier said than done imho.

Always been a large percentage of hospital healthcare workers that are in the industry STRICTLY for the money.

There is still that small percentage that join the healthcare industry strictly to "help people" and/or "like the science and medicine aspect" of the profession.

But no, money has always been the TOP DRIVER of why folk become nurses, doctors, etc. in the first place.

At least in the Western world

Union released the numbers to us of unvaccinated (not necessarily anti-vaxers, but unvaccinated, could be medical or religious).--2% of the RNs at my hospital (California). But, there are many RNs who are just in it for the $

Sorry to hear you're going through this.

It would definitely be interesting if it was covid that triggered this, but there are also other viruses and illnesses that we don't understand well that may trigger similar neurological problems. And I'm not sure we know enough yet that it would significantly alter your treatment or prognosis. But I do think the specialists in the long covid clinic, especially if they have a neuro-focused division, will give you the best care regardless.

Have you had any brain imaging, lumbar puncture, or other tests like that done?
EKG and blood works and highly trained neurologist I waited all summer for, told me to close my eyes and touch my nose and hit my knee with a hammer.

Yall all welcome to come over here and enjoy the full medical benefits of Bernie's ideal socialist paradise!

Couldn't pay me enough to wipe people's butts. When my rn friend still worked on the floor / unit, he would joke he was a professional butt wiper. Obviously it's just jokes and they do so many things. Being Filipino, a lot of my family and friends are nurses and seem to like serving and helping people. They definitely enjoy the good money as well. So far I haven't heard of any of them being antivaxx.

sad news fam: the fam and i tested positive for the VID. Wife and I are vaccinated too. we take casual precautions everywhere we go - sanitize before and after going anywhere, always masks on, ordering food online, etc…

we have our suspicions on how we may have got it, but we can’t say for certain.

my son got a runny nose, wife is going through some slight body aches and i dont have any symptoms right now. i got a baby girl that is turning 1 on Thursday and somehow she came back negative. I suspect a false-positive on her test.

Funny part about it is i had scheduled next week off and didn’t tell the wife so i could do whatever the **** i wanted to do. now i’m stuck with the whole fam during my time off

Stay safe out there, everyone.

Rapid tests sold at cost is a noble idea, but as my guy toooldforthis toooldforthis pointed out they’re already being scooped and resold on eBay so this will likely make it worse if there aren’t restrictions placed on how many each person can buy (think decongestants behind the counter at pharmacies) and serious penalties for resellers.

I pray for a quick and easy recovery for all of you.

:wow: Wait what?!?!? How much do they cost and how much are they being sold for? eBay should take down those listings to discourage this behavior. That’s disgusting.

About $20-24 for a two test set. They’re being dumped on eBay for 35+. Surprised that eBay allows it.

If you need them, check the inventory on the cvs/rite aide/Walgreens/Walmart websites. Amazon is sold out, but they have a mail away pcr test kit for about $35.

I bought the BinaxNow rapid test from my local CVS 2 weeks ago. The box is purple, not blue. It's $25/box contains 2 kits since you need to do the test twice within 3 days or so.
It's disgusting if people is reselling this. :smh:

And even worse if they're fakes!

Lots of different fields for RNs. You can be case manager and never do anything bedside, just set them up with stuff at home. Informatics, same thing, with computers. We got flight nurses on the helicopter, nurses who just put in IVs, triage, Operating room, vaccines. Lots of fields that don’t have to deal with that. Nurse aides do most of the butt cleaning. I’m in dialysis, so I’m never doing that, just deal with lots of blood.

RN a great field, good pay, 3 day work weeks (if you want) or there’s such a need you can work 2 jobs, and bank. My work currently has a shortage so theyre offering +70$/hr for any OT.
