Houston Rockets Thread - Preseason vs Spurs (Friday)

Should a healthy Terrance Jones truly start over DMO? I think DMO (with just a tad more development) is a starter in this league and brings a dynamic (from a starter) that we haven't had on this team. True 7ft offensive post proficiency. Dwight need to come off some of those back to basket touches and hand em over to my man DMO :lol, ha. real talk though

^Agreed. The way Dwight & D-Mo played together the other night would be fantastic over the long haul. And I very much do think D-Mo should start over a healthy TJones at this point.

Oh and look at this, ESPN saying something positive and not condescending/dismissive about the Rockets

Just saw the mavs box score tonight against the Knicks...

We'd never have bench production like that.

Nick Johnson really looking like he wants to take a trip back to the rio grande valley lol

i've never seen someone play so bad before lol

edit: just checked and he played 7 total min that first half and had a +/- of -15 lol. not a single stat recorded except for his 2 turnovers and 3 fouls. everyone's playing like crap except harden, but only a 5 point game going into the half. hopefully we come out strong in the third and don't let up.

Yea, I was glad Nick Johnson got early minutes, but good lord those fouls :{ :lol

It's a win that we're only down by 5. Harden and Dwight need to keep it up, and better D needs to be played. The Nuggets are getting too many uncontested 3s

We had no business winning that game lol

Dwight was absolute buns on offensive in the first half, but turned it around. Still had a huge impact on the game with his defensive presence.

Harden was Harden.

Going to D-Mo to open OT and he got back to back buckets. Let him cook.

Guys basically just ran out of gas tonight. Losing stinks, but I'm not too caught up on it based on the circumstances. As long as we rebound against ATL (who is a tough team), than it's all good. Aria's offense for awhile now :x luckily his defense has always been great, so I guess it's an even trade-off, but we'll need more from him sooner than later. Looking forward to see what comes out of the Brewer trade if it goes through.

read an article on bleacher report...we're #2 in defensive rating when ariza is in, but fall all the way down to #27 when he's on the bench so brewer will be a huge help in that regard.

honestly, i'm kind of glad we didn't get rondo. he's like 3rd in the league in time of possession with the ball in his hands and i don't think that would have been good for our offense. he's also a poor shooter and that's not what we need at all.

excited about FINALLY having brewer after trying to get him for so long...as a vcu alum though...i really liked having troy daniels on the team so sad that he had to be the guy that had to go. i'll still be rooting for him, but he's gone now and hopefully gets more consistent minutes with the twolves.

wonder if we'll make any other moves before feb.

also just read that we cut garcia.

never heard of Alexey Shved before, but apparently he's a 6'6'' pg that's averaged just under 10 ppg this season. led the 6ers in PER.

Troy Daniels is currently trolling the Rockets cause he's not taking his physical until tomorrow, which means Brewer and Shved will NOT be in Rockets unis tonight, which SUCKS. The Hawks aren't pushovers, so the Rockets can't act like they'll roll over, as they are a good team.

Wasn't at home to watch the game, but based on my TL, it wouldn't been a frustrating anger inducing game to watch, and I'm thankful I didn't have to go through another one of those types of games. It sounded like we dug ourselves a hole, rallied back, then the Hawks tagged in their 3 other teammates in stripes and put the game away. That's a damn shame. I also saw that D-Mo didn't even play that much, which stinks cause he's been flourishing in both the post and on the perimeter.

Portland up next tomorrow....we need a full lineup, and a damn win. We're sitting up 19-7, and need to go on some type of streak with us sitting @ the #4 seed vs #5 Dallas, which would bean awesome series with everybody at full strength.

No LMA but I like what I saw from the #SQUAD. The Beard playing MVP caliber again, Dwight contesting in the paint, and both Terry & Brewer shining off the bench. What a breath of fresh air Brewer is, he fits right on. Only other things I'd like to see are Johnson and Canaan still getting minutes in the offense and performing, and D-Mo in the post.

really wished harden would have gotten to 50 tonight. i love him so much when he plays like that.

at first i was absolutely against getting josh smith, but i think for $2m a year, it'd be an awesome pickup. he wouldn't have the ability to do stupid **** on offense, because harden's on the court...and he'd be a help on the defensive end. really hope we're able to convince him to sign.
