i think you actually have to sign the partnership agreement first, and youtube isnt going to give you money once they know what you are doing.

correct.... also not to mention the $100 minimum limit to transfer money into ur bank account... so before u make ur first $100 off of other people's work YouTube will most likely send u a email explaining why they wont pay out to you...

I've thought about doing a vidcast, but I'm not very good in front of the camera.

honestly I'm not great in front of the camera either... I even used to freeze up and studder... practice makes perfect thou... only thing is u gotta find ur own lane that people like and r willing to come back and watch
