9/11 changed everything
Life was great until 9/11. 9/11 really transformed this country.
From my prospective, this is how I would summarize the early 2000's:
1/1/2000 - 9/10/2001 - The last of the "great era", very reminiscent of the (late) 90's. Napster/ Morpheus start the whole file sharing craze.
9/11/2001 - 12/31/2003 - Country changes completely. A time of fear. Muslim-phobia begins around this time. Dipset, G-unit, & the south are big on the hip hop scene. Style of Clothing is still pretty reminiscent of the late 90's.
1/1/2004 - 12/31/2006 - Birth of Social media (relative to social media today). Emo/ punk rock re-amerges as a major genre of music. Dipset, G-unit, & the south retain their influence on the hip hop scene. Skating, dunks, and the whole hype beast thing starts around the later part of this era.
1/1/2007 - 1/1/2010 - Country goes into a massive economic strain. Hipsters begin to emerge.
Watched this live..crushed me
I was a Kings fan at the time, Bibby was my dude!!!
That's why I put and the list goes on... I know there's more other songs, peace! You missed some of the biggest one
No tego?
No gasolina?
Damn I remember that song.
I'm from the west coast so we got reggaeton way later on.
That song was bumping in like 04' out here.
I wanted the i530 just because of how cool I thought it looked.
I was dating this hispanic chick at the time and i could never get away from that dale dale song
Good choice and that's whats up that your Asian and know about Tempo! I remember that song that's off that Gargolas 3 Various Artists Album from 2001 . People here have to understand I didn't post all the songs that were Reggaeton Underground Hits in the early 2000s cause that list would take forever to get it done. I just listed a few songs, not all just to make things clear. What about Tempo? I mean I know he was in jail at that time but "Tu quien mas" was my song. Lol
And I'm Asian too.
