I agree with you that bragging about sporting accomplishments is kind of lame but international hockey is much more competitive than international basketball. There are 7 very good hockey teams in the world that can win at anytime. In international basketball the U.S. are head and shoulders above everyone else and then you have maybe 2 other legit teams such as Argentina and Spain.Originally Posted by sauuceking

There is far less competition in men's basketball than there is in men's hockey and yet Americans still brag about dominating the sport. Is it wrong for them to brag about it? Ofcourse not. But it's ridiculous for anyone to discredit Canada's international hockey success when you have so many other good teams capable of winning gold.
