I'M PISSED!! Vol. Horrible Flight Stories

I'M PISSED. Booked a red eye from LA to Jersey tonight. For some reason wasn't thinking and booked a normal seat instead of at LEAST extra leg room. I get to my seat at 32B and I'm in the middle. The lady next to me is wearing a medical mask around her mouth and I'm thinking she wants to avoid getting sick. Turns out she's DYING. She's hacking every 2 seconds and looks like death. I got a big shoot in two days and can't risk getting sick. Not to mention hearing her cough every few seconds can get under ones skin fast. I immediately look back and I see an open middle seat. I try to usher to the gentleman without being rude to the woman next to me but he just smiles. I get up and go to him and say, "excuse me sir. i will buy you a drink, meal anything you want on the flight but can i please sit in the middle. the woman next to me is extremely sick and i can't risk being next to her." he smiles and goes, "get outa here man. no way." i said thanks and walked away. I am HEATED on this damn flight.

If you were that man, would you have been kind enough to let me sit in the middle?

flew from md to la...ended up sitting across from lady who brought dog (small dog, carrier/kennel fit under seat), dog freaked out, and started barking/yipping/howling for almost entire 4 hour flight, lady had no tranqs/sedatives for dog either...

will never visit cali again

Worst flight story?

Was on an AA flight from LA back to NYC and about midway through a bolt of lightning hit the plane, lights went out and plane started to descent. Everyone freaked out then all of a sudden the lights came back on and the Capt came over the speakers and said everything was ok.

That was the worst experience ever.

I'm pissed because I was stuck next to someone for 4 hours hacking their lungs out while severely sick. Sorry if I don't like those circumstances and want better for myself and my life. You should try it some time your quality of life will improve.

I myself used to see them as a different, smelly kind of person..

But as I've grown older, and worked out my insecurities, I've grown to realize old people are a beautiful resource man..

They have all the knowledge in the world and 9/10 they've been where you are before..

Next time don't judge a book by its cover... A random act of kindness like idk, asking how she's doing, might go a long way to you better understanding people different than yourself..

That legit sounds terrible OP and if there was an open seat i don't know why the other guy didn't let you sit there. I guess he just wanted the open seat next to him for room? If she is dying its probably not contagious unless its the plague in which case RIP

Yeah just told my pops about it and he said he woulda just sat next to dude and not let him say no. It's an open seat. Not like I was trying to go up and bum a first class seat or a window or aisle. But I messed up, I shoulda talked to a flight attendant.
