Today, Pitchfork.tv presents an intimate three-part documentary on the xx. The film, directed by Jamie-James Medina (photographer, filmmaker, and head of XL imprint Hot Charity), spends some time with the band in the studio, during rehearsal, and on stage. (The videos feature performances of Coexist tracks "Fiction", "Angels", and "Tides", respectively.)

it's out..

after one listen i'm not too sure how i feel about it.. it's too upbeat for me.

it's not nearly as emo as the stuff he did with GIRLS.. i'll def give it a few more spins though.

As far as Nosaj Thing, I've only really heard his remix to the xx's 'Islands,' what do y'all think I should check out to get into his stuff more?

i'm not good with recommending single songs at all.. maybe psk can.

i would just recommend that you listen to his first album DRIFT, and take it from there.

Noskey - DT43 & Trilluminated listed some Nosaj Thing. I'd start with his last album Drift. It was released in '09 & there was a remix albuim released in '10. Below is my favorite remix of his with Flying Lotus' Camel...

Yo CertifiedSW, I just noticed at the top of page 18 that you posted Mister Lies. I'd rep you but I'm apparently at the limit which I didn't even know existed. I've posted him in the Chill thread....False Astronomy is my favorite song of his. Crazy this dude is only 19 years old....

i agree with you on the Girls album, it's a great piece of work..

not too many bands can evoke as much emotion from me the way Girls can.. too bad they broke up. 

that Mac Demarco 2 is a good chill album too... Complex put me on to him.
