That will be great route for someone on entry level, however I don’t want to be in retail setting anymore I’ve worked for best buy and tried geek squad, that chapter in my life is done. Looking for a corporate setting, just need be in that environment to get hand on learning and network. Thank for the Suggestion.I`d look at Geek Squad too, unless Pay is a big concern.
Much appreciated fam. This is why I love NT.I work at a data center, and the only thing I really didn't know coming in was working with fiber. I would maybe spend 30min or so getting an overview to cover things like bend radius, single-mode/multi-mode, types of connectors, etc...
Having a basic understanding of how data center cooling (in a raised floor environment) works, as well as how power flows is really pivotal.
Your probable daily tasks should be pretty simple. In terms of servers, replacing memory, HDD's, etc.. is easy. Working with collection and cluster routers you'd just have to swap out cards and optics. I guess that would be good to know as well, the different types of optics for fibers (LR, ER, ZR).
All I can think of right now, good luck.
if youre an instructor they give instructors licenses for current microsoft software.. thats how i would get mines when I was in school we had a program for that.Anyone know best option for getting Windows 7 Iso's? I`m trying to do a Java tutorial but I have a mac and its gear to windows users.

Oh okay, I just wouldn't waste money on Windows just to follow along. Its the same on both platforms. I'm sure somebody can send you an iso though or point you in the right direction. My tutorials were done on Windows, while Eclipse and all that stuff is available for Mac, I rather use Windows to follow along.
my company recommends CrashPlan. It backs up to the cloud which is convenient.Anyone Have Any Recommendations For Onsite Backup Software Solution For A Small to Medium Business? No Backup Exec/Appassure.

Try Retrospect.... Cheap and has a funky GUI, but works great for on site backups to tape drives and external disks.Probably should've included this in the no list as well. Currently testing it
We dont have any desire to abandon our cloud backup, just looking for a local alternative onsite for redundancy (weird i know).
I think I took the Net+ in Novmber. What's your question?
I'll never take the CRISC (just not in my career path).
