Information Technology (IT)

Heard WGU is adding the CAPM to their MBA IT Management program, might have to check that out. GA Tech 7k MS CS looks cool too.

THIS. Lol I can't stand it and if you happen to become a lead you are doing so much work nah not for me.

Yeah I'm praying this cyber move works out. Giving myself a few options.

For us, the "lead" position is more title than anything, almost like a way to pacify the people that want a raise or higher position when nothing is available, happened to my co-worker :lol :{. You might get a little bump in salary, but your duties don't change much.

So, the cyber position is a lot less coding or none at all?

Security Roles more than likely will be less "coding" and more "Scripting", unless you are doing dev work on Security applications or something.

I have to read more about it. Have you guys noticed a lot of managerial positions requiring heavy database knowledge in your areas? For our state, IT managers have to have pretty in-depth database knowledge.

Speaking of that I saw a sr help desk profile the other day where dude had an MBA and was working on his doctoral degree. Props since that's hard work, but I wonder what his aim is.

Long term Im debating if I want to go the Product Manager vs Business Architect route. Leaning towards Product Management as it the most universal but gets less techie and more focused on the marketing/finance side of things

Passed my Security+ exam . Wasn't that bad ,I only used Get Certified Get Ahead materials.
Congrats

What have you been using to study for the CCENT? I want to start studying for it but I'm not sure if I should pay for the online video course or not.

And Congrats @BeezyGotSole!

If you're doing CCENT then I would get the newest book. The book you have now is for the old CCENT which this no longer available. They've updated material on the test that isn't covered by that book.

Latest version is ICND1 100-105
