Is the era of top NBA players winning alot of titles over?

A buddy of mine and I were having a discussion about Lebron, Kobe and the top players ever and we got on the topic of championships. I brought up that most of the top 10 players ever have between 3 and 6 titles and how Lebron is never gonna get there. His argument is that that era of basketball is over and how under the new CBA it's gonna be alot harder for players to win 3, 4 and 5 titles. He doesn't foresee any of the current or up-in-coming NBA stars getting up there in the Duncan/Kobe/Shaq stratosphere of titles. What do you guys think?

I agree somewhat but I just think overall the talent level in the league is greater than it used to be so that makes more teams competitive.
Plus Jordan $!%!$! the game up and now if you don't win 6 rings + completely act like a ruthless maniac your soft so the perception is that 2 or 3 titles isn't a lot even though it is.

I sort of agree... I feel after Kobe and Duncan retires, it'll be hard to win multiple championships.

I absolutely disagree. The NBA will never change, all it takes is two superstars and a couple of role players and the same teams will be in the hunt every year. Just because Lebron isnt going to get multiple titles doesn't mean that it will hinder other teams

Exactly.

Durant could do it

I said it before I think Durant has a chance of being the greatest ever. I'm not getting ahead of myself I know it's a bold statement I'm just saying he has a CHANCE. If he gets it this year he's well on his way. Where as Lebrons getting to the point that if he doesn't get it this hear his time is ticking. That's why I wanna see a thunder heat finals. It would be interesting to see Durant get one before Lebron

okc wins it before lebron and figures a way to keep harden and ibaka it could a wrap for the league. i can see drose winning some chips if they brought in another superstar.

this is Lebron 10th seasons in the league. Old boy is about to go 11 years without a ring . He's going to look like 40 before he win a ring

I wholeheartedly disagree with the bolded.

^^ The talent level may be better, but the skill isn't. Everybody can jump higher and run faster, but can they run dem plays and not let their ego jack up the team chemistry??

the talent level in the NBA is better than it's ever been, and if you disagree you're just one of those dudes living in the past.
More good players in the league equals more good teams overall and with these new CBAs and what not it's tougher to build these super teams like the lakers and celtics had back in the day.

when is the last time you saw the whole western conference get 50 wins each like we did a few years a go?
