Israel declares War - Destruction of Gaza / Growing conflict in Middle East

So Israel assasinating the head negotiator of the Gaza/israel ceasefire

So all this talk of ceasefire has always been fake

Haniyeh, as the political leader, was also considered the more moderate, pragmatic leader over the other military leaders in Hamas.

If you want an all out apocalyptic war, kill the more moderate figures, to let the more bloodthirsty ones duke it out.

Also, bombing and assassination in 2 cities of sovereign countries is calling for highest level of escalation and all out war.

For sure this was greenlit by the U.S. since Netanyahu's speech was all about Iran to Congress.

It’s so eye opening to see people make comments like:

“Ohhh Kamala. Please be more sympathetic to Palestinians SO WE CAN WIN ELECTION” vs doing it bc it’s the right thing to do

Cult like. Left win of the UNIPARTY.

Wanna know how they cope if Shapiro is their VP pick…and it becomes mainstream that he SERVED AS VOLUNTEER IN THE IDF”

"The United States and the Middle East are now enduring a crisis that can in part be traced to the failed foreign policies of President Joe Biden, who will be in office, barring unforeseen events, for six more months. The core issue has been Biden’s inability to understand the recklessness and depravity of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose hatred of Palestinians has now brought the Middle East and America to the brink of a war that is neither desired nor necessary. Biden also has failed to seek a negotiated settlement to the war Russia, led by Vladimir Putin, is now in the process of winning against Ukraine.

Biden’s failures will soon fall to Vice President Kamala Harris, who now has a clear path to be nominated by acclaim at the Democratic convention later this month. She has yet to indicate any disagreement with the peril the Biden policies have created, although if ever there was a time for her speaking out this is it.

The fault is not only Biden’s. The majority of Democrats and Republicans in Congress routinely vote to send billions of dollars to support a corrupt and failing government in Ukraine and similarly approve the bombs and tank shells supplied to Israel for use in Gaza. Hamas, which was financed for years by Qatar, at Netanyahu’s behest, is far from defeated and it is now clear that Netanyahu has been the one resisting a ceasefire there, despite pressure—or rather, pleading—from the Biden White House.

There were signs of Netanyahu’s irrationality from the beginning, and they were ignored. After the horror of the Hamas attack last October 7, the Israeli leadership was cautioned by a senior American who had been rushed to Israel not to retaliate with a massive bombing attack. Instead, the Israelis were advised to announce that a response was coming but would be withheld if Hamas immediately returned the 240 hostages, many of them in the Israeli Defense Forces, who had been seized. Even if the proposal failed, the anticipated failure of the Hamas leadership to respond was seen, optimistically, as a possible mitigating factor for the White House and its allies, given the violent bombing response that all knew was coming. Consider it a doomed Hail Mary-pass effort to massage the world’s anger as Gaza was torn apart. There was a further suggestion by another informed American official that Israel should consider the slim possibility that the leadership of Hamas could initiate a series of criminal trials for those in the Hamas leadership who planned the attack, to be held in Gaza. That, too, went nowhere." - Seymour Hersh

Here we go again with the puppet master theory.

Countries have agency and their own foreign policies that may or may not align with their allies'.

What do the US have to gain from Israel assassinating one of the parties they negotiate with? It's not like they're gonna get a deal from Sinwar.

cue the meme of stick figure man poking at something and put “Iran” at end of stick with caption: “come on…do something”

It is very naive to think that after Netanyahu visited Congress, the escalations and assassinations thereafter on Hezbollah and Hamas' head figures was just a one-dimensional strategy and attack.

It has the U.S. written all over it as well because it has implications for their roles in Syria and Iraq too.

Figured my analysis of Project 2025, which is laying the groundwork for Trump's legislative agenda, would be informative here too.
Here's what Project 2025, aka Trump's legislative blueprint if he wins, has to say on Israel/Palestine:

Link to the full 922 page PDF here: https://www.project2025.org/playbook/
1."Ensuring Israel has the military, political support and flexibility to take with it deems to be appropriate actions"
2. "End US funding for the Palestinian Authority"

3. Further isolate Palestinians by seeking to build a "Security Pact that includes Israel, Egypt, the Gulf states and potentially India"

4. "Special attention must be paid to challenges of religious freedom, especially the status of Middle Eastern Christians and other religious minorities, as well as the human trafficking endemic to the region."
Zero mention of Palestinians in that consideration.

5. "Consider cutting aid to states allied to Iran"
Zero positive mention of anything at all relating to Palestinians, only a drive to cut off aid to "Palestinian territories."

Zero mentions of Gaza throughout all 922 pages

3 references for "Palestin", all related to cutting aid to Palestinians or describing them as "Palestinian Islamic Jihad."

The third reference: Cutting aid, limiting assistance etc to "states allied to Iran", including "Iraq, Lebanon, and the Palestinian territories."

It isn't with Congress that Bibi needs to talk if he wants to coordinate with the US military to assassinate his rivals; it's with the White House because that's where US foreign policy is made.

This administration's policy is to achieve a two-state solution. It makes no sense to suggest that the WH would pursue this goal and also ok the elimination of the moderate representative of Hamas, with whom they were actively negotiating.

Killing Haniyeh is more likely to be a unilateral move; it is more in line with Israel creating a justification for their argument that "there's nobody to talk to." It makes even more sense to do it now because if Kamala wins, it thwarts the ability of the US to pursue that two-state goal; if Trump wins, there would be little reason (or incentive) to negotiate with Hamas in the first place.

Sometime you stop and think, man there’s a country we find where if you’re a different ethnicity within that countries borders, you’re not allowed into certain neighborhoods and if you do, the locals are allowed to hurt you
