ive been really feeling his tape. His lyrically better then all the freshman but with out the gimmicks. he doesnt claim to be the pot head he doesnt claim tobe the sneaker guy or the fashion guy. his just doing him and i respect that.
Flow is on point, very witty and he has substance. really dont try to compare him to anyone.

As much as I hate the J.Cole and Drake comparisons I have to agree with this. J.Cole comes off as a real student of the game. Drake, not so much.

I think J. Cole reminds me of a better version of how Kanye was on college dropout. Son is a regular dude who spits about eryday things most people dealwith.

I agree it feels like sometimes there's something missing, but I'm sure that will come with time.

i think with this dude, his delivery makes you want to listen.

crisp, nothing forced, just straight rappin, no forced metaphors either. i.e:

they call you the savior so you deal with it
the weight of the world on your shoulders but you still lift it

and his song-making is above and beyond other dudes who spit bars just to spit bars.

hes missing that Star polish that most dudes have or get thru coaching. To use a bball analogy he reminds me of Dwade in 03. Drake/Cudi/Wale are Bron andMelo. But back then Dwade wasn't cocky he was just hoopin, playin hard, and gettin the job done. J Cole has his focus on the music. period not the money,the cars, or the $%%$.

I think that finished product swag will come with time.

What y'all mean "missing"??... There's always strengths and weaknesses but when you say "missing" it gives the notion that hisstyle is in some way incomplete which I think is far from the truth. He got hella potential as far as making good music. I'm not concerned with his starquality because rapping catered toward radio spins kills true hip-hop.. I'd rather the rapper stay hungry and true to the craft.
