Nah b

Ain't nothing out there hip hop really...other than the stuff I hear from 9th and his camp, the rest of the stuff that just dropped is dead compared to this album.

"..and she do it sooo good i gotta thank her, i got her *** clappin thats how i congradulate her.. she like to roll the dro up in the bed going higher.. pepsi cola, michael jackson, man her head is so fire.. i love this lil red bone Mya.."

After a couple spins I didn't really care to play it straight through anymore. That's what I really wanted for this album, unfortunately I didn't get it.

I enjoyed Section.80 more than Cole World.

i feel like, while his lyrics are still laced with that fire......his production did not match up to his lyrics. He didnt have that synergy throughout the album. On the mixtapes he was more successful.

in the morning

easily one of the smoothest joints i've heard in a minute. but the song's been out for quite some time, even on a mixtape. wonder how it made the cut for CW

when Jay-Z tells you to put it on the album...you put it on the album.

I agree 100%. Hopefully on his 2nd album he reaches out to some respectable producers in the game. This album had the potential to be a classic, but some beats were meh and of course we heard some of the tracks already.

just got done listening to it all the way thru. great album but I still think the warm up is his best work tho

All his mix tapes are almost certainly better than this, the album is decent nothing more, there are way too many THIS IS MAINSTREAM RADIO SONG! Moments and J Cole doesn't have the charisma tro pull it off, in the Morning is the best example where JCole just sounds completely unbelievable next to drake who was born to pull off those type of songs.

Some great track, alot of MEH tracks a few terrible ones. He has talent, I feel like he needs to stop producing all his stuff, because we are three mix tapes and 1 album in and he hasn't evolved at all.

So I finally got my order in from Best Buy. Open the package and they end up sending me two copies of Cole World and Charity Starts at home. Only charged once

this is your opinion and all but I find it hard to believe u say he hasnt evolved when Sideline Story, Rise and Shine, Nobodys perfect, Breakdown, sound nothing alike and are all produced by him and IMO perfect records. what songs on his mixtapes have that kind of production, emotion and matching lyrics?

THIS

"Cole has bars, but he doesn't make good music."

Are People Deaf? What is wrong with the beats and production? I have listened to Cole since the come up, ff this was a new mixtape and not an album I would be just as happy.  This is basically his 3rd album anyway...why do people care and start to voice their negative opinions when it's all of a sudden labeled "Album". Smh

Haven't heard an album this good in a long time.

Discussed earlier in the thread. Female audience + drake feature = gold. Wouldn't make sense to leave it off the album. Especially considering not everyone is up on blogs, mixtapes, etc. This easily got one of the biggest reactions from the crowd when I saw him this past Sunday in NYC.

I'm not one to keep playin Cole's pop influenced tracks, but $%^& I can't stop playin Can't Get Enough...

Why do people hate pop music?
I dont get it. Pop = Popular.

I mean if it sounds good and still has a message then I don't see why we should hate.

Dreary music doesn't have to equate to good music. I hate that rap fans always think that way.

Album is a classic, haven't heart a rookie album so good since Lupe if memory serves me correctly.

Rise and Shine

To critics and some fans of hip-hop, if you don't make your whole album rapping about how poor you are, your album sucks

Backwards thinking. Of course social commentary is important, but I also like balance on a record.
