I don't understand the mindset in here.
NT used to help the ENTIRE community, not just some people who fulfilled some imaginary criteria. No one wants to help 'noobs', and what sense does that make? Everyone on here was new at one point.
Things have switched from this being a helpful community to being a place to show off because you have some overseas connect, or some secret site that you're too arrogant and greedy to share.
There are only a couple of threads (definitely not in the JB forum) that openly help out: they post links, shop numbers, etc. It's always like another world in here.

ANYONE THAT WANTS TO ATTACK SOMEONE FOR POSTING A LINK WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE THREAD. PERIOD. Pass that good info to each other on your own forum or PM group. Makes the normal people no difference.

the mindset is....the game has dramatically changed. and you either adjust, or be left "kick less".
mindset is...if i know of a site that gets Js on the low, but only get approx 18 pair, then why would i share that site with 5000 people? and now i can't get anymore kicks.

im not referencing 1 instance. im referencing multiple instances. dudes make people feel bad for posting links. that's not what Niketalk is about. it really isn't. im 100% fine with kicking dudes out and having them throw fits and quitting the site vs letting them go hard on someone for trying to help.

You of all people know that there's more grey area than your generalization of why it isn't the same as it used to be. I'm not going to clog this thread up anymore than it already is debating that topic, though.
In a perfect word, things would be exactly like this. Judging from countless past releases, this isn't the case. We're either forced to deal with it or to just shop elsewhere. Unfortunately, many spots have chosen to simply cut the US off because people take it to the next level and badger them every 5 minutes.That's all well and good....except Queenz is NOT a small store... People sell things on much smaller ebay stores and don't take a week to ship. Why are you so quick to defend a store for taking a long time to ship? And I'm not even complaining about Queenz. I just have a problem with people saying we shouldnt expect a shipping confirmation for a week. That's a pretty low standard to set. Multi million dollar corporation or not.

This must be your first rodeo. Business practices are a lot different overseas compared to the US. Bear in mind that you're not dealing with multi million dollar corporations, but rather small shops often run by only a handful of people. Those people have other day to day responsibilities, their online site is near the bottom of that list. It amazes me that you guys don't realize how lucky we are to have what were once low key spots. The Concord thread and Kicks Deals have really done a fine job of starting the erosion of those outlets. People who blindly toss their money into an overseas purchase without knowing what they're getting into followed by constantly harassing these companies have only pushed it over the top. Shame.
Congrats. You were one of the few lucky ones to get through after the tweet. Shoes were on the site well before that.
Lol at criticize. Read and comprehend what was stated. If you've never shopped at some random shop overseas and haven't done some form of due diligence with regards to figuring out how they go about business, are you willing to just toss your money out there and hope for the best risking customs charges, a month+ long wait in some cases, and even damaged packages in the process? All because some random members post links and tell you it's ok to go? Look through this thread, people have been been gotten by fakes as a result of such blind faith just because a person has a lot of posts and seems reputable.
There was once a list of legit spots updated constantly which took away a lot of the guesswork. That's when NT was on top of things. Nowadays, if you've never done business with these spots, all you have to go on is blind faith.
Hope you get your pair. If I had all of those variables working against me and wanted these bad enough, I'd set a dollar limit on a resell amount I'd be willing to pay and call it a day. Can't speak for anyone else.
The fact that people are still shocked at the current state of things is a bit surprising. Nike continues to win, the consumer continues to lose.

again, if people want to go at people that share info then they don't need to be here. that's not what niketalk is about.
we all lurked at one point or another. to say, "hey man, as soon as I found out about the site, I logged in and contributed all types of info" is a straight up lie. we find the site, we evaluate if we want to join, we have that moment where its time for us to start contributing. it is what it is.
