Jordan 5 Retro Premium "Take Flight" $400 February 11th 2017

It might be my eye sight but that tongue looks like it might be a man-made material.
If it was slightly darker I think the whole look would have been better.
Nevertheless, I do like them with the exception of the tongue.l

BUT, at $400 retail have to like "everything" about a shoe to buy it. I'm just more selective about what
I purchase simply because there so many choices and releases these days.

:lol Just saw a pic of the packaging.. I guess they think putting a bape look on it will help sell em for $400. :{ They're nice, but not worth the ticket..

Agreed. I'm good with the 8s. The packaging doesn't decide whether I cop a shoe. Nice try, JB. :lol

I feel disrespected.

$400 for these when the Fear 5's dropped 3 and 1/2 years ago for $160; and the Fear 5's quality nearly the same as these? Probably even better. Because the texture on these tend to leave extreme creasing and easily noticable scuff's - while the Fear's textured leather is nearly indestructible.

....and yet again; I'm let down by Jordan Brand's decision making and choice of design - let alone the OD expensive price tag.

:{

peace.

Dont care how plush the carpet is.. these suck. And you dont do that to a V tongue. And as said before the Olive V's are stupid better than these.

I've liked these ever since pics surfaced. Don't think I can get myself to drop $400 on them though. I would have been all in at the $225 premium price though.

Man, is anybody satisfied with anything Jordan Brand puts out nowadays or what? Every thread I go in it's people complaining for pages after pages about a shoe. Jesus Christ man lol. These are nice. Price is way up there but as far as look and packaging, I like these which is crazy because I hate 5's. I'm focused on completing a few of my "themed" collections this year (Doernbecher for example) so I'm gonna have to pass on a lot of shoes and unfortunately these are one of them...

They did a little too much on these. The price definitely does not constitute the gimmick, packaging and the triangular lace patch, even though the "premium" uppers are a nice touch.

I think if they left out the lace patch, lowered the price to at max of $220, kept the side rubber mesh feature present instead of the perforated holes, kept the plastic rectangenal lace hole pieces, and still went with the P51 flight bomber packaging concept, more people would show love for the shoes.

Sometimes less is more.
