88's are an OG color. Those hawk and laneys were retro +I'm happy that they are starting to put Nike Air back on the retros. But at $220????
I slowed down a lot on my JB pickups this past year. Don't think I'll be grabbing more if $220+ will become the norm

I see what you are saying. I misread the original post. But I'm referencing to the Nike Air treatment as a whole. I believe Nike tested the waters with the 88s to see how the public would accept it. They sold out instantly at $200.
The 1s were cool, but the quality sucked bad. Now that they have improved the 1s since the 2013 molds, they're gonna hold out on giving us what we really want (the trinity) I wouldn't be surprised if those are set at $200.
But I don't have a problem with the jumpman on non OG releases. I just want the OG releases to come how they're supposed to.

This is the beginning of the end for JB. They are trying to milk the hype but the hype is dwindling. Consumers are becoming more conscious of their spending. They are not going to pay high-end prices for low-end sneakers.
The funny thing is JB can't start lowering their prices so what is the alternative when shoes are sitting for weeks.

Champs, FA and FTL will not discount Retros for whatever reasons. Laser 1s are still retail there. They are too proud!
Jimmy Jazz discounts them with the quickness when they are down to a few sizes and are not selling.

The online sites will. Copped laser 1s on sale and they removed the disco exclusion. Came out to 134 shipped before ebatess...

It would be nice if JB would give us some OG colorways remastered with Nike Air that have never been retroed with NA, like they just did with the Maroon VI. I like the Black/Metallic V, but Im ready for True Blue III's with a Red tongue backing and NA, as well as Grape Vs with NA and a corrected toe box.

JB does only release 2 of reach of colorway of 3-5 with the Nike air. All this hype around the white cements, Bred 4s and metallics makes you forget about shoes like the true blues, white Infrareds and grape 5s. Nike air versions of those would be nice. It's be even nicer if the white Infrareds and fire red 5s(black tongue) sat like their previous releases out where easier to get

The 3s are in the vault, they just did the infrared 6 series, and the grape 5s though a popular colorway JB is going to do the original colorways with NA first then probably go to the lifestyle colorways.

Grape 5 is an OG, Lifestyle didn't come into existence until much later
NA is already on the Maroon 6
JB has made no announcement of any kind concerning a pattern of which colorways get released first
