Every pair of III’s I own make that noise, including these. The exception is the white purple colorway because the material behind the plastic tab is like nubuck or something. Every other pair with leather behind the plastic tab has gastrointestinal issues.

Those dark iris 3s are honestly amazing… Such an underrated cw. They’ve been going up slowly on the resale market as well, which kinda confirms this point.
Damn it. I was hoping they were silent as I really like them.
Only my Fear 3s are silent along with the AMM wyws 3s

The OG fear III’s were so bad I ended up cutting off the plastic tab. I can’t recall with the retro version. I may have returned them to Nike because I figured I wouldn’t wear them.Damn it. I was hoping they were silent as I really like them.

I think Nike/JB knows this is a decent release so they’ll allocate stock to outlets to help foster foot traffic there. People buying these in store helps them generate more revenue since ppl are way more likely to buy other stuff from the outlets, esp around the holidays.
