Here’s my hopeful (but unlikely) speculation. The reason Nike is doing the draw is because they have so many pairs they fear they will sit. So they change it to the draw to make everyone think there aren’t many but everyone ends up getting a pair.

You may be right. Snkrs US loaded more than 233k pairs.
