I would think so. The shape on the 85s is closest to the og in my opinion. And me personally I didn’t really care for the shade of red or the tumbled leather.

I mean personally I like the '85 shape more. I don't NEED tumbled leather on my 1's and for the price point there are going to be it makes sense to move off the 2016's and take and use that money towards these.
Did the same thing with the BC3's and it worked out plus I came out with $$ on top. Also I'm not a fan of having multiple iterations of a retro in my closet. Very few shoes I'm ok with doing that for and these aren't one of those.

Plus I barely wear my Jordan 1's if I'm being honest I know for a fact I haven't worn my 2016's in 2 years.
If I get the 85's the 2016's will literally never get worn. I might as well collect that $400 and keep it pushing.

Personal preference when it comes to the 85 cut/leather.
Personally I like the more traditional retro shape/buttery leather.
But I'm not going to pass up the chance to grab any new release of the greatest shoe of all time.
