I REALLY want these, too. But there's ZERO way that I can justify paying $900+ for these. That's ACTUAL OG money!!!

If this was the plan of the new Nike CEO he isn't going to last long either.

The youth do not care about Jordans anymore. Nike would be better off just releasing high quality GRs of the Iconic models and let collabs be the limited thing and just being more proactive with who they choose to collab with.

I believe they are saying Royal 85s are dropping this yr too?

these are my customs i got last summer from a different customozer than what's shown from weartesters. Unfortunately, the customizers have vanished from social media, they probably got hit with that hard cease and desist. I was happy to get atleast one project from them @ $140. you can see the cuts are heavily influenced by the 85 retro, and is probably more executed than Jordan brand.

Half the price and probably twice the quality as Jordan brand, and atleast they are attainable I can’t knock it in this case

Probably have more people looking at them after the dust settles on this drop. The materials and shape are better than what we’ve gotten from the brand since the OGs, what is stopping people from getting them, loyalty to the brand who literally shows they could care less about them?

The real good ones are like 99% accurate but cost $1600++

Jordan has had 20 years to get it right for the people that want a true 85’ cut 1.. and they’ve failed so far. Maybe they got it right this time but I’m not 100% convinced. Then you have a customizer somewhere that rips an og pair apart and recreates them 99% accurately and can sell them for $150. It’s no big feat in engineering. Makes you think, it’s all by design

I agree. I never wanted fakes or custom pairs. If I couldn't cop ld move on or pay resell. But seeing those 2 custom handmade 85s look THAT good and most likely be hell of alot cheaper then buying these 85s jordan is dropping. And I'm lookin at getting the whole set made and me done with worrying if jordan brand will ever come around and make a true 1 to 1 that's plentiful. And the way they are handling this release makes it even easier to say FU jordan brand.

I disagree. OGorbust on YouTube reviewed 3 different handmade 1s from different makers at different price points and the more expensive one wasn't hands down the best of the bunch. He also compared them to his authentic 1985 pair of Jordan 1s on quality and shape. DB's are really good and affordable but JB is going after them.

I don't think we were buying them in secret. The posts just got deleted by mods every time they got mentioned or posted.

I don’t see the point in buying the customs cause most who have them will try to buy the real ones too if given the opportunity

I just miss going into a regular retail chain and seeing the best of what every brand has to offer, the only deterrent was if you could afford the shoe or not

now it’s just shoes no one wants in retail stores and that’s the real reason why physical stores are dying beside online being easier and cheaper

I’m not mad either way bout these 1s but I would like to have em
