All in all I think I did a good job. Just got my Royal Angelus paint in and I'm doing Royals. Like the brighter blue on these tho. Gonna rock them to the mall tomorrow to see if I'll get any compliments

I actually went a size down. It varies from foot to foot

Size down .5 if past 1s fit you well. TTS if your foot is wide like mine and needed to break in older 1s and dunks.

I have wide Polynesian feet and go half a size up for Jordan 1's.

My feet are super wide. I can't wear 10s unless I size up to 14. These fit me perfectly though at sz13. My dunks and AJ1s usually make me cry wearing for a couple of days until they're broken in.

Here are my greens. The bottom, like @JabbaTheHutt says came out lime green, which is annoying. But I'll live with it.
I haven't found laces that are the same size as the Jordan 1 laces. All the Footlockers, Champs etc only carry up to size 54 inches. Any recommendations?
Well here they are. As you can see from the paint on the wall, green is my favorite color.

Ebay or amazon for 72 inch laces. That's what factory AJ1s use. And how many coats overall did you put on the soles? I think up to 4-5 can make it darker if you let it dry completely after each coat.

Thanks for the lace suggestion.
Put about 4 coats on the sole, the sole bright just turned the green dye a yellowish color. Believe me, I tried. I even tried to mix black in but ended up not looking right lol.

I doubt you can completely strip it once you've put some paint on it. But I was able to get most off with some acetone. If you wanna try some heavy duty paint thinner or other stuff it might work. But this is was some that I was able to get off

It's probably not too late to try. But it's too late for me to try, I'm not ordering from Angelus again, I hate paying for shipping. Besides, they look fine to me now, would have preferred the darker soles but it is what it is.

Nice work! They look fantastic. I like the green Nike Air and black bg label too. I've decided to nickname my ones "The Grove Streets" after CJ and his crew from GTA: San Andreas because I love that game.
That lime green sole is frustrating but I'm just like you - I can't be bothered fixing it. Plus the bright lime is only noticeable when viewed from underneath or from behind when you lift your feet as you're walking.

If you can find a darker green, then maybe. Actually try buying FBCC's sole dyes. They should be dark enough.

For those of you who have painted the liner and tongue with just paint and water, are you guys having any problems with flaking or paint coming off/fading?
