Unfortunately, you are right. These will be a problem. Only red jordans that didn't fly were the low 2s, one of the most least popular models.

I had these back in '97. My friends and I all painted our 12s different colors. We played on the same summer team. I decided to flip the color way. I used model car paint for the red and Sears easy living for the white. Wore them on the bus to the mall. Crazy looks. Then I fooled another friend with them. Said I had a hook up and would only let him see through the window.
We played a game and everybody at the park saw what we did to the shoes. I started to buy two of the last retro so I could do another pair. These go hard. Only took Nike/JB 19 years, not including the Bibby pe.
