Same here, I agree. This is how I feel.
I still haven't worn gammas or columbias, but the christmas XI release is tradition now.

in the context of hyped and heat releases this year has been week. JB only catered to resellers by reading SOOO MANYY limited releases. The bred nickname....I don't use it but I don't care if anyone does.
And I just want a pair of these anyhow. I am not a fan of any of the 8 releases this year. the CP was the first Jordan pair I have copped this year since the Chicago 1s. . Been a weak year for JB.
Next year is going to be like The Purge, Cement 4 OG, Black and Red 12s, and Red and White 12 (haven't seen in confirmation yet). Those are the ones I hope I get.in the context of hyped and heat releases this year has been week. JB only catered to resellers by reading SOOO MANYY limited releases.
But to the average consumer, this year was very easy on the pockets even though next year will not be the case unfortunately.
He Got Game's don't have a black toe, and I hate the nickname "Bred" for any shoe, it's a new age thing I think.
For the life of me, I just don't understand why they nicknamed these joints "72-10." What's up with including the 10 losses in the nickname? I, for one, will NOT be calling them "72-10's"
I'm officially calling these the AJ 11 "72's", because in my book it's the 72 wins that we are celebrating with this shoe.
On another note, other AJ nicknames I absolutely despise are (as mentioned earlier by another NTer):
1. Candy Cane 14s
2. Cherry 12s
3. He Got Game 13s
4. Raptor 7s
What they should be called imo:
1. Chicago 14s
2. Chicago 12s
3. Black Toe 13s
4. Bred or Playoff 7s
** Flu Game 12s and Last Shot 14s imo should be universally called Bred 12s and Bred 14s. Every numbered Jordan that has a good amount of black and red on the shoe should have a "Bred" nickname. Just sayin.
Yup and yup.I HATE THE TERM "BRED"
Yup and yup.
Can't stand the BRED term. If these stemmed from the XIs, those were known as the Playoffs when they originally released.
Let's be honest, if Space Jams dropped in OG form for $300 retail, we all wouldn't hesitate to cop.
Question for the "bred" haters. It's generally accepted that the Jordan 1 trinity consists of the royals, shadows, and ________? (fill in the blank)
Not bait. Just curious what you call the cw if you don't like the word "bred".
$300 won't happen any time soon unless a seriously limited release. 11s are at $210 now and won't jump $90 just for an 11 that isn't even the most popular colorway. I think they should release the Jams next year for black Friday at $225 or $230 as a GR and prob release a plus colorway of the 12s or 13s on the same dayI think a $300 price on an XI would be tough since they're still pulling retro prices up into that $190-$220 range. If JB did release space jams at $300 I think all those who truly want them would be happy, but the mainstream sale would be lost. JB would also have to push limited quantities.
Personally I think next year we'll see either cool greys or a retro plus colorway we haven't seen yet that isn't a black base. Two of the last three years we've had these 72s and the gammas (a truly underrated XI), just doubt we'll see another black base XI.

2000*SPACE JAMS ARE A TAD OVER RATED TO ME.. I HAD THE OG RETRO FROM 2001 AND EVERY TIME I WORE THEM I WAS BORED WITH THEM.. ENDED UP SELLING THEM. THEYRE NICE.. DONT GET ME WRONG.. BUT I WOULDNT PAY 300. IN FACT I WOULDNT COP AGAIN
