Why is everyone so worried about what is OG and what is not?oook so how are they OG when they're based off of something else
space jams release Dec of 2000 and cool greys came out a couple months later also
original release of the ORIGiNAL 11s was 95
space jam the movie came out in 97
dpace Jams are just as "OG" as cool greys; they aren't
QFT!Jordan didn't have on the Spacejams in Spacejam, wtf
And like people said, this debate has been going on since like 2000. Both are arguments have their merit, so I don't see how now one side can claim their veiw are facts
Lets just are to disagree and move on
Exactly QFT!QFT!
Technically the original three as well as SJ and CG from early 2000s are all OG based on definition. Original means also means 1st time, as in first production.
With saying that, I'll say the original three are the OG XI and only the early 2000s pairs of SJ and CG are OG, everything after is just a retro of the OG,
It's all differing perspectives and both sides have merit depending on each persons interpretation of the word "original."
naaaah man, a retro+ ain't an OGQFT!Jordan didn't have on the Spacejams in Spacejam, wtf

So you're saying the original release of the CG and SJ are in fact, "not original?"naaaah man, a retro+ ain't an OG
Correct, they were not released when the 11 ORIGINALLY dropped so how could they be ORIGINAL?So you're saying the original release of the CG and SJ are in fact, "not original?"
when did they release tho?
Space Jam came from an original concept that MJ actually wore.
Because of the basic definition of the word original.... "Present or existing from the beginning; first or earliest."Correct, they were not released when the 11 ORIGINALLY dropped so how could they be ORIGINAL?
This pretty much sums up everything I've been saying. QFTcool greys are NOT OGs, PERIOD! OGs dropped in '95-'96 and we didn't know anything about a CG 11 til 2000. so there's that. SJs were in fact an OG colorway from the original '95-'96 release, only they were an MJ exclusive that didn't release to the public until 2000. so...
OGs = concords, breds, columbias AND SJs.
wrong, thats the ONLY thing it means.
OG doesnt only mean when they released though. There's not one single definition for it. It was an original concept based off a movie he wore them in at the time/around of the 11 release.
How can they be from the 95/96 release but be MJ exclusive? What you just defined is a PE.cool greys are NOT OGs, PERIOD! Lmao!Jordan himself wasn't OG in that picture
It really is though. The definition of OG: The colorways released during the original launch of a Jordan model, its that simple.
Exactly its an original colorway/concept he wore. Is it that hard to grasp or understand?? Plus your definition of OG isn't THE definition.
The movie was at least a year after the OG release plus like i said they were PEs at that time. I'm not gonna argue but if you couldn't buy them in 95/96 i don't see how you can call them OGs. If y'all wanna use your own definition that's your prerogative.
Did Space Jams not come from something he wore in the movie at the time of the original 11 release?
They're retro+So you're saying the original release of the CG and SJ are in fact, "not original?"naaaah man, a retro+ ain't an OG

Yes, an original retro+ colorway. Anything done for the first time is defined as original, not just shoes. They're retro+
