My pair scheduled to arrive tomorrow. No use in complaining, I already know what it is at this point.

I also agree on QC problems always being present. OG Taxi's had a design flaw, the OG had metal eyestays at the top, when you laced them all the way up with factory laces, the eyestays would strip outer threads of the laces leaving just the skinny thread in the middle. It irked the **** out of me when I laced them up to play basketball in them in gym class. I'm guessing that's why they switched it to plastic in retros (and also probably it's cheaper).

This is gonna sound blasphemous but an argument can be made for these being better than the og. Only because the slightly more vibrant blue outsole is something I’ve always wanted to see on this shoe from the beginning and they nailed that.

Speak for yourself bro. X2 for me and one under retail. Besides… the white PL doesn’t yellow any more. Something has changed. I haven’t had a pair of XI’s PL turn yellow on me since 2001. I bought the cherry Lows in 2012, Silver anni’s in 2010 and the last sad retro of Columbias in 2014 and the PL is still as white as the day I picked them up. Even cool greys PL doesn’t yellow anymore like the 2000 pair. I still have my 2010’s.

At this point with economy and sneaker market, if they're available at retail & in store, you're just better going in person to get a good pair instead of paying retail online and getting screwed over on QC.

I'll return my pair and go in-person on release day to see if I can get.

2014s are an eyesore
tis the season, drop those things off at the local Goodwill ASAP.
As for QC smh looks like yet another year gambling for a decent pair with online purchases. There are few stores out my way so hopefully what arrives is decent enough.

At times, putting this combo together felt like gathering infinity stones, fav ASG uni.

My first impression, PL is SUPER thin, but we knew that. Imo, not worth the double up given the price + tax. I'm def going to restore my 01 retro because in hand they feel like better quality. That being said, these are nice if you have no reference point. Still keeping them though.

2001’s aged so poorly. I still have a DS pair and they look just like that. Maybe a little worse. I actually iced the soles a few times maybe 7-8 years ago but a few months later right back to poop brown. The OG cool greys from that year aged horribly as well. It’s interesting because the 2000 concords aged beautifully if we’re speaking on just the sole.
