I don’t know if it’s my pair, but the patent leather feels rough. It doesn’t feel smooth.

Naw I don’t. I’ll check my cool greys and my gratitudes closer when I get home but judging by this picture in my library, the toe cap is correct. There is no cut out around the toe cap, the leather is tucked behind it as it should.

Quality doesn’t merely begin and end with the patent leather debacle. Sadly, the bulk of the chintzy dollar bin materials seems to reside in the uppers. You mentioned gratitudes, and in glad you brought those up because those notoriously had the thin patent, however it just be said that the REST of the gratitudes were actually very nice. The uppers were constructed of a decently thick (1.8mm) cut of actually malleable and supple cow, in stark contrast to the Columbias (or legends, whatever the cool kids are calling em) which feel AWFUL in hand. Look man, I’m not here to be the wet blanket. I’m stoked they remake all these shoes from the past. I’m glad you enjoy your pair. Just like I said the quality ain’t there for me. BC3 are straight butter though.

Just picked my pair up from dicks. $230 a lot for these I wasn’t expecting these to sell out soo quick since they not going for much resale. Kinda salty about paying retail was waiting for swoosh but glad have them in the collection.

The crazy part is that Nike uses better material for some of the 2s and they are constantly collecting dust even when they go on sale. Nothing beats the quality of the Concords, Playoffs, and Jubilees. I hope they use better material for the Gammas. I am so sick of hearing people putting down the OG color ways to crown the Gammas.

I seen a pair of bc3 in store and they looked like a bad pair of reps... glue stains and all....most of the pairs I've seen here look ok at best. I'm sure they're alot of bad pairs of both releases...

No complaints on my pair. Got scared for a sec. Went to pick up my raffle pair, dude couldn’t find my name on the list. By like the 4th time, he realized he was looking for my first name on the last name column.

Cutting the PL around the toe cap doesn’t make any bit of sense from a cost or production standpoint. Unless they couldn’t get the glue to stick to this new patent pleather.

Microscope boy complain off going on in here lol. The BC3’s were just fine and so are these Columbias. I bought 5 total pairs of the BC3’s and no issues. Just snagged my Columbias and they are what you’d expect from an XI mid in modern times. I see no drop off from the last 4-5 releases. We must be bored or something. Always gonna be people that get bad pairs but overall I’m seeing way more great pairs.
