KENDRICK LAMAR: "GOOD KID M.A.A.D CITY"

^ nah. 3

I'm tired of [O][D] not getting the respect that section.80 did; it's the better project too imo

I think [O]verly [D]edicated is more like this album than Section80. tbh, it had a more personable feel and he gave you that personal connection a bit with the Heart Pt 2 (one of my favorite tracks by him), Heaven and Hell is dope as ****, Opposites Attract, Night of Living Junkies sheeeesh dude is just a straight menace

That review on Big Ghost Chronicles though

4. The Art of Peer Pressure - This **** got basically two parts. The first minute is jus son on some singin **** wettin the paint on his brush before he paints that next story. The beat is like some fly grown man ****. Almost toooooo grown man...like the **** that Puffy might got playin in his crib in the Hamptons while he kickin it wit old *** white dudes sippin Ciroc outta some **** wit umbrellas n mad fruit in it....like some sophisticated yet slightly played out soundiun ****. Dont get me wrong tho. I mean I **** wit it...but it also sounds like some ____ Lupe would cop from a 14 yr old beat makin ***** from Chechnya n keep on his workout playlist along wit some rare Sade demos n Yo-Yo Ma's old old old ****....like his first **** that only Lupe kno bout. Then the beat transforms

If these are his "throwaway songs"...
...then we're in for a serious problem.
To be honest, I'm expecting nothing short of "Illmatic"...

Calm down, son.

 word.. sry to say but there will never be a major label record on par with illmatic again.. to much commercialism and big name hunting in the industry today

Sooooooooo, like I was saying...

YOCK!

YOCK!

YOCK!

YOCK!

Just finished listening to the album and :wow: great job Kendrick. This whole thing is smooth and bumps too hard, storytelling is on point and I can't even describe the rest. The finished version of The Art of Peer Pressure is probably my favorite track but the whole thing is :pimp: I like the record with Mary J. Blige too

Be the last one out to get this dough, no way
Love one of these bucket headed ****, no way
Hit the streets then we break the code, no way
Hit the brakes when they in patrol, no way

Has anybody heard the song that Kendrick got the beat for The Art of Peer Pressure from? My dude basically bought the record from them and took their hook off  at least that's what it seems

My favorite part of the song :pimp:

Matter of fact, this is the ONLY song I've listened to all day (& I couldn't make out what shorty was saying).

I think this is a great album. However, it is being very over hyped. Yes, this dude is dope and yes, he can rap, but the voices he makes? Almost enough to make me want to fast forward through that part of the song. Remember when Eminem was killed for all of those silly accents? The same should be done for KL. Also, the hook on 'Real' is straight up first mixtape quality. Could've done much better ...
