Ignorance mainly. I hoop all the time actually and shoes don't matter as much as your biomechanics do. Ever hear of barefoot running? Why would elite runners do it?you clearly don't hoop/exercise. Shoes absolutely have a huge effect. Why do you think Dr. Scholl's is so successful?
When playing basketball, one is doing alot more than just running though. Shoes matter when playing semi-serious to serious basketballIgnorance mainly. I hoop all the time actually and shoes don't matter as much as your biomechanics do. Ever hear of barefoot running? Why would elite runners do it?

This! Dudes are constantly getting hurt from wearing the wrong gear in the gym. They come in wearing running shoes, trainers, and even turf trainers. You can even worn them and they still try it, until they twist them ankles up. Next time you see them..... fresh basketball kicks on deck! lolShoes definitely matter.
Shoes definitely matter.

I wore kobe 8 that don't have much bounce in the lunar insert anymore and my legs were aching like crazy.
Trufax! It's like hooping in Low Top Chuck Taylor's.That's what I'm experiencing fam
Bottom out lunar insoles really kill my knee..

okay so let me give you an analogy that I think will clear things up. Shoes are like pens. They don't make an artist better skill wise but change how an artist moves or places lines on a page. Shoes are tools. When I lace up my kobe 9s I use the traction to move differently than I would in say the LeBron 12s. They definitely make a difference.Shoes definitely matter.
If you have bad biomechanics, shoes aren't gonna necessarily "cure" your pain. However shoes do help absorb shock when sprinting and making quick cuts. Basketball players can not use the same shoes that a runner would because basketball has different demands than running. Obviously you can play ball in runners but it wouldn't be better than a basketball shoe.okay so let me give you an analogy that I think will clear things up. Shoes are like pens. Not really. Just traction and containment. I have had some of my best jumping days jumping in old Nike Free's. It doesn't matter all that much, I just love how Kobe's have been the more flexible and low to the ground models the last few years.Shoes definitely matter.
Nick Young and Lakers equipment manager saying the Xs are a high top. Probably the elites.
flyknit?Thanks God
flyknit?
