Rap legend KRS-One was injured during a recent performance at a New Haven, CT nightclub after an angry fan threw a bottle on to the stage.

The fan, who became enraged after being escorted off stage by the Toad's Place nightclub's security, launched a bottle at the stage, consequently hitting KRS-One in the face and hand. After being struck, KRS remained calm and urged the rowdy crowd to not retaliate. "Let it go. When negativity comes your way, let it go," he reportedly said before being rushed to to Yale-New Haven hospital in an ambulance where he was treated for a fractured hand, and dehydration.

Ironically, KRS-One's New Haven performance was part of a multi-city tour in support of his Stop the Violence Movement.

KRS has apologetically canceled the following dates in order to fully recover:

April 19. Panel Discussion and Performance at Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, NY
April 21. Performance at Harper's Ferry, Allston, MA
April 22. Performance at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel, Providence, RI
April 28-30. Community Meetings and Planning, Chicago, IL

umm no... krs is a +#%++... who acts like he still matters cuz of some 20 year old music... dont nobody give a *$$$ about dude... remember this idiot saidcurtis was better than graduation... while both lackluster CDs it just shows his taste is music is terrible...

what?! that %%+! was old by the time the dvd came out... and krs is a $###% for even battling nelly of all people... krs is one of the biggest haters in the+#%*#! game... point blank... old hatin %%@, i think i deserve all the respect in the world type dude... cant stand him...

I gotta agree with that. The dude that threw the bottle should have been beaten within in inch of his life and then placed on YouTube for all to see. Thisis the kind of stuff that we don't need in hip hop these days. A bunch of dudes disrespecting the pioneers of the game, which is why hip hop is in such asad state of affairs these days. Some people may not like KRS One's "elitist" view points when it comes to hip hop but to a certain degreehopefully you can see why he feels that way cause he at least has earned the right to speak on these matters the way he does.

i thought krs one initiated the battle by sayin nelly wasnt a rapper or something of that sort... and dude have u been to st louis? that %$*% isTERRIBLE,,, im sure nelly aint scared of the damn bronx... everybody got guns nowadays u can shot/robbed in hollywood... u really think Nelly's career isover? u wouldnt wanna b dude's boss? i know id take that money any day... krs aint bringin no labels NO money... and just because 2 dudes who didnt/dontlike each other share the same views on somethin doesnt mean anything cept they both bigger than that...tables turn? im pretty sure nelly cakin harder than krsone...
 
Nelly's career is O-V-E-R . . . And NO I wouldn't wanna be his label's boss, he's on his 2nd single in almost a year with ZERO buzz . . . Ifyall called Curtis a flop, just you wait for Nelly's awful Soundscans, and his awful label Derty Ent. I remember the battle starting from Nelly making someGOD awful song "I'm #1" simular to KRS's "I'm Still #1" then he started the 3rd verse saying, "I'm tired peoplejudging what's real hip hop/ half the time be the ninja who F'n album flopped", I remember Nas being on the radio dissin Nelly, I don't knowif KRS ever did prior to the Nelly record . . . But anyway, Nelly dissing KRS One is idiotic. And NO Nelly wouldn't dare come to the South Bronx . . . Hemight now that him and KRS are coo and nothing TOO bad wouldn't happen to him . . . I respect Nelly cause he does what he does, for whoever buys his +$@*,but you cross the line when you diss a pioneer . . . You don't see that +$@* in other genres, you don't see Lincon Park dissing Metalica or Pantera . .. Limp Bisqut wasnt dissing KISS . . . Hip hop is one of the ONLY genre's with no TRUE structure, and cats feel like they can diss someone simply becausethey don't like them, if these cats are from the streets like they claim, they should no that's a HUGE Mistake . . . Bottom line KRS in recent years has been sounded a little out of wack. Dude's reasons for accrediting and discrediting things have been outlandish.Therefore, he can be regarded as a legend. FINE, but he doesn't decree whats hot and what isn't...especially now. He needs just realize that and upholdthat legacy he has. I respect was he's done but not what he's doing. PLUS THAT NEW TRACK HE GOT BY PREMO IS HHHHWWWHAAAACK!
 
That @#$# Nelly makes is "hip hop"?? I don't think so either . . . I mean if anyone would know it would prolly be KRS One, he was there when itstarted . . . I think he's done a lot for the music, culture, and business, he deffinetly has the rapport to be able to comment on something he considersnot to be hip hop, but even he said HIS word is not the end all, or GOD rule . . . He just KNOWS what he's talkin about more times than not . . . Nelly isan idiot, did you hear the @#$# that come out of his mouth on Hip Hop vs America?? He's not exactly the smartest man in the world, and can we reallycompare whatever Nelly has done for "hip hop" to what KRS One has done?? Not only did he hhelp pave the way, he has bridged the gap between hip hop,education, and spirituality . . . Nelly's music is classified as "entertainment" mainly because its not meant to be taken serious, cause he'sa fool most of the time . . . Now he's on steroids tryin sell records to a new generation of little girls . . .

Who considers Nelly an MC anyway?? I mean if KRS were to say that, it wouldn't be somethin street ninjas wernt feeling anyway . . . Nelly a fool that makesmusic for fools, and even they aren't buying his record at the rate they once did . . . He aint been out in 4 years, he's finished . . . So nowhe's tryin to join KRS One and several others in the Stop The Violence movement to become relavent again, meanwhile KRS is rocking shows WORLDWIDE, whilestill doing lectures at the most prestegious colleges in this country . . . They won't even let Nelly talk for longer than a minute on a station asterrible as B.E.T. (Bafoon Entertainment Television) . . . Nelly should go back to what he does best, trick money on strippers, and make videos that playbetter on MUTE.
