**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

It's a travesty that the Lakers don't employ a shooting coach. We were one of the worst three point and free throw shooting teams last season and this season we're dead last worst free throw shooting by a mile and we don't employ a shooting coach?

How do we expect these guys to get better? After last game, all Luke said regarding the poor free throw shooting was that there was a sign up sheet to shoot more free throws after practice. We're not even taking steps to get better. :smh:

:lol :lol :lol

Tell ya what, how many teams in the NBA have a shooting coach?

Who was the shooting coach on Phil Jackson's staff?

This isn't very good. :(

To be fair we have to be the worst shooting team by far up and down the roster, so a shooting coach is needed. Those other teams with competent free throw shooters not so much.

Same with the Kobe/shaq lakers IIRC only shaq and the backup bigs were poor FT shooters

Funny thing about this is I can see both Ingram and Ball improving significantly once they're shipped. I always wonder if the Lakers are giving up too early on their prospects, or if the coach/system in place isn't conducive to develop young players.

Does anyone know Zo’s stats with and without Rondo?

Remember when everyone thought Lonzo was gonna bust out when Rondo got hurt? Curious how he’s fared thus far

We didn't care because those teams could actually hit free throws. When you're the worst shooting team in the league (when you look at a combination of FT shooting and three point shooting) maybe it's time to try something different.

He's at 14/5/8 on 47/38 since Rondo has been out.

So, how many teams in the league employ a shooting coach? 5? 10? 15? 0? How many?

AD misses like 1-2 games at a time. A lot of times when you see 'AD hurt again' he ends up coming back in that same game

Of course he starts breaking down the moment he comes to us. Par the course smh.
I was calling this **** before he signed but people wanted to praise this signing. Dude is 16 seasons in and people just keep thinking age will never catch up to him. You see how he plays now, what do they imagine in year 3 and 4, for him to get even better.

Another opportunity for the young guns to prove themselves without Lebron.

Hyped for the game tonight. Lets get it :pimp:
Young guys can't step up with no offense, I am tempted to not even watch the game. Hart been shooting like ***, Ingram is just going to **** us over in the 3rd and 4th. I love how Zubac is third in per but yet Luke doesn't play him.
