**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

I thought it was real interesting when Ingram got hurt and Bron said something about not taking the chance to play the game for granted. It almost came off like he was taking a shot at BI. They must've butted heads at some point whereas Kuz always kinda kissed his *** and tried to get close to him. And then Bron was always hyping up Zo and BI in the media (trade value) but not really Kuz. Smh

What did he injure again? His knee?

He rolled in ankle in Houston in January

I don’t get it

*****s roll they ankle everyday B

The worst I ever rolled my ankle (must’ve done it a dozen times in my life), but the WORST I heard 4 pops and needed crutches. Bruising from toes to calf. Missed 6 weeks. This was 15 years ago with no professional trainer helping me recover

This dude still hurt after 5 months?!?!

BI was the prince that was promised man :smh: I'm rooting for him wherever he lands. Hopefully not the Pels because i don't see him meshing well with Zion.

He had bone spurs in his ankle as well wasn't just a sprain, we have the worst medical staff in the league outside of the previous NO regime, who knows how severe the ankle injury really was.

Oh **** bone spurs. Ya that will be recurring pain. If he rolls it again, it’s magnified because of the previous bone spurs. Ouch

More fodder....

Part of me feels like Kawhi is legitimately in play. Even if Toronto wins, I don't see a real future for them as contenders passed this season if they're relying on ibaka gasol and Lowry. RP kinda alluded to it in that article, it would be about Kawhi (or whoever) and AD moreso than LeBron, even tho it's obviously what LeBron would want. Keeping #4 and getting Kawhi would definitely ease the blow from losing BI

Kuz visibly was not ******* with Bron like that after the trade rumors. Dude wouldn’t even make eye contact with him on the court

Wednesday morning what if question, since things are still slow:

Would you rather have Lebron, AD, and a bunch of cap fillers going into next season or Lebron, Young Core, and KD (tied up for a long contract but obviously out next year) moving forward?

Also wouldn't it benefit the Lakers to wait til Free Agency to start to make a trade if they wanted to? Why wouldn't they take their shots at say a Kawhi or KD or Kyrie before going in for AD, I know it might be a salary issue, but isn't the consensus believe that a Lebron, Kawhi, and Young Core with flexible money in the future better than Lebron, AD, and Maybe another Max player with nobody left?

I feel I might get crushed for this but i'd rather have Lebron, Max Player, plus Young Core than Lebron, AD, and maybe Max player

I don't think there's animosity between them like that

There may not be but Kawhi is an alpha dog and staking his claim as best player on the planet. The extra circus surrounding Bron doesn't seem like something he'd want to deal with especially when he can literally be the man anywhere else in the league.

Oh idk maybe seeing how the season played out since July 1st, a lot has changed. He's the face of a country right now. Why come here to be Bron's subordinate? Makes zero sense.

I hear that. Might be wishful thinking but I'm still clinging to the reports that Kawhi originally wanted a trade to the Lakers and then was still interested after Bron signed. If he was really interested in the Lakers that means he's a fan and cares about 'Laker excellence' etc. AD is 26, Kawhi is 27. If they have a chance to team up I don't think a year or two of LeBron is that much of a deterrent, if at all. He could help ease the load and they could still be in their prime when he's done. It's really the best basketball situation he could put himself in

But you know how this works. Bron is too big of a star to allow oxygen in the room. He'll get all the credit and if for some reason it goes awry everybody else will get blamed we've seen this movie over and over again.

That Woj tweet was July 1st last year. Literally everything since by every reputable reporter is that Kawhi ain't interested anymore. Even reports about Bron's camp who were anticipating Kawhi to come initially have given up hope. That's why he turned his attention to AD. He reads the tea leaves like everybody else.

Kawhi is kinda weird tho so who knows lol

All the big free agents this summer are unpredictable lol

Personally think Kyrie would come before Kawhi. But Kawhi would be the more ideal player to sign

Rich Paul Lakers

They hella about to finesse the Lakers

LeBron and his agent trying to make the maximum money for their players. What better place than your Los Angeles Lakers
