Fizdale is actively worse than Vogel though.

The Lakers' interest in Grant appears to be just that. A package of Talen Horton-Tucker and Kendrick Nunn likely won't pique Detroit's interest in this competitive market.
What big names are out there for Jeanie?
George Karl
Don Nelson
Larry Brown
Lenny Wilkens
And that's the problem. He doesn't react to the obvious and sticks with what isn't working. It doesn't take 22 different starting lineups to figure out what works.Being so slow to act on obvious things (DJ) didn't help.
I think Jeanie is gonna choose the next coach based on length and girth.
What's Phil up to these days?
He had Rondo, Russ and DJ on the floor multiple times and people are surprised that he's in the hot seat.First off, no 'one thing' is the answer. Getting rid of Rondo wasn't 'the' answer. Playing Bron at 5 isn't 'the' answer. There isn't one thing that's like, 'Do this thing and WIN A RING!'
But Vogel is a problem.
He SHOULD be on the hot seat. Trez & Kuz leave and go off. He barely used Trez, and constantly misused Kuz.
He barely uses DeAndre & Dwight, going with Bron at the 5 instead of actual 5s.
We've had lineups this year that should never, EVER happen unless a team is tanking. Rondo/Russ/Bradley/Melo/Stanley.
That chip in 2020? What happened years ago ain't got nothing to do with NOW.
- Bird got sick of his stagnant, nonsensical offensive lineups in Indy.
- Did BOOBOO w/ the Magic.
- Nobody wanted him for a year but he was a better option than effing Luke, who never should have been a coach.

Trezz had a la carte all last season, was a defensive liability and got worn down by season's end. Kuz had every opportunity last season to make a dent and was MIA in the playoffs.First off, no 'one thing' is the answer. Getting rid of Rondo wasn't 'the' answer. Playing Bron at 5 isn't 'the' answer. There isn't one thing that's like, 'Do this thing and WIN A RING!'

Maybe that’s his way of telling management “these are the players you give me?!”
