**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

I think involving OKC is the best option, whether he directly goes there or not in a trade.

It be extremely nice of Presti if he can give up his probably crappy future pick(s) for the juicy 2027 pick.

We want him gone gone I see

I honestly think we can win w/ Russy. He's still an amazing basketball talent to me. I just don't think a player's coach is gonna do it. Certain players are driven to be greater by coaches who are like "I am extremely good at what I do. Everyone is going to run what I do or you can sit, or get traded, something. I'm great at my job and that's not up for debate. You take the floor and be great at your job." You give those players a coach like "Maybe we'll try this. What do you guys think? Or maybe a little of that? Hell let's do this for 1 week and that for 1 week, see which one comes out on top."

In my sports observations, methinks players like Russy respond to a strict, respectable coach better than they respond to a strict unknown or a respectable 'player coach'.

C CP1708 disclaimer: This is not to say that Frank Vogel is the only problem. We have a litany of problems from this season and last. This is only speaking to one of those problems, 1 of MANY problems. This is also specific to 'player coaches' and Russy, so this actually doubles as blaming Russy, too. I know that despite saying this, you'll still think this is a post blaming the coach, only the coach, and nothing but the coach, but reasonable people are also going to read this reply so I need them to also read that this is not a post blaming the coach, only the coach, and nothing but the coach.

OKC is a real possibility. Works for both parties.

We become free of Russ. and they get a guarantee tank with Russ.

Russ and 3 2nd rounders for Kenrich, Dort and Favors when nobody bites

Russ gonna have a better year next year if hes not in LA. Hes played decently well when Brons not on the floor, still taking L’s but hey.

Just dont send him to the Knicks please.

Team is trash from da top down. Should've signed Meyers Leonard in da off season but didn't. With that said, Davis is the reason this team sucks. We all knew dude was injury prone but he's Mr. Glass. When he's healthy this team is 🏆 caliber but when he spends most of every season in da training room watching MSNBC what can you expect. Westbrook needs to pay his dues to da Police Benevolent Fund because he wasn't enforcing anything.

Meyers Leonard plus Enes Freedom = WCF strictly off those two additions as well.

ime udoka, nick nurse type of coach who is a known basketball mind waiting to break through.

Too bad lakers management only know former lakers

Russ has to go
For most of the season we had Russ and one of A-DL or Bron…..and they couldn’t win games

I can list 10 things about his game that tell me he’s done and has to go. He is the face of this disaster of a season that had such high expectations. It all started with him and his TOs the first 4 months of the season. He will be a vet min player in 15 months
