Just for reference, Russell has been relatively consistent all year.... And the only time he has really struggled was defensively when he came back from the knee injury, and the 4-5 game stretch in January before his calf injury where all hell broke loose, and just couldn't string together good games, or was benched by Luke for extended periods of time in games.

Before the knee injury 1st Game into mid November

12 G 27.1 mpg 16.8/3.4/4.7 on .423/.390

(1 game outlier that I didn't count, that he tried to play after hurting the knee, and shouldn't have touched the court at all)


The next 12 games back after knee injury

12 G 27.1 mpg 14.3/3.4/4.4 on .386/.408 (2 less shots than the first 12 games he played)


The only dip has come in the 8 games before the calf injury

8 G 27.4 mpg 13.3/5.1/4.4 on .381/.147

-The dip is primarily in his 3 point shooting.... Because in the first 4 of that 8 game set, Russell had 16.8/6.5/5.0 on .407 / .125 and in the next 4 were Russell getting benched for extended minutes in games.


Since coming back from the calf injury

15 G 29.9 17.4/3.6/5.6 on .429/.380

With the exception of the bottom 3 names, they are all unlikely. And Gallinari is a great fit, but not worth what he'll likely get because of injury history



In all reality, we likely should either stay put with this roster for next year... Or trade everything not Russell, Ingram, Randle & Zu, and re-configure the team
