**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Makes too much sense

If you're Indiana, you get $27 mil in expiring money (Oubre + Plumlee + Washington) while adding depth to stay competitive enough to earn a playoff berth. You also get a top scoring combo guard in Rozier to replace Buddy's shooting.

If you're Charlotte, you not only get a first rounder and a 2nd rounder but you also get $47 mil in expiring Westbrook money while going on tank mode for Wembanyama.

Lakers get Buddy and Myles and only give up one FRP.

Win-win across the board.
Do it Mitch!

I was anti both picks for tuner and hield but I think Rob might have goof’d

Both those guys having career years with a real point guard. Imagine what Lebron coulda done with them. NTM the gravity AD has in drawing eyes
When EYE'm watching the Lakers right now,it's clear in Meye Eyes that the team is missing a couple pieces although there are some things Eye'm seeing that EYE like.

Hield and Turner imo are THE missing pieces.

Imo, Rob will come to his senses and trade the picks with or without Russ to acquire either or both once the Pacers hit a slump.

The key thing here is that the West is wide open and there for the taking. The Lakers, despite having 11 losses, cannot stand pat and must make moves to turn this team into a contender especially in a season where they are only a handful of games behind first place with AD seemingly back to his 2020 form. All signs are showing Pelinka will make a move; can't be wasting AD's dominant season.

Gotta take care of business against the weak non-playoff teams. To continue building on that chemistry. In this process, the coaches will see who falls out of the rotation. Then they can determine the trade pieces needed to make more roster improvements so the team can begin competing with the more elite teams in the league.

Although the Lakers will struggle against the top playoff contenders with the roster as currently constructed, they will continue building cohesion and chemistry regardless in the coming months - trade or no trade.

Positive signs all around knowing there are some solid pieces there. Just gotta put it all together.

Soooo..pelinka was right yet again not trading for gordan hayward.

CLT has had injuries dating back to preseason and Terry is having his worst shooting season ever in these first 15 or so games. 3 games of Lamelo, no Cody Martin, no Miles Bridges and very little Gordon has him and Oubre as the "guys" and while their raw numbers are up, of course the efficiency drops.

I'm not putting any stock into that. His career numbers tell the real story.

Sucks for Gordon. He was already off, but someone bumped him at the end of the PHI game and he was literally playing with a dead shoulder. I've wanted a Hayward/Rozier deal since April when it was mentioned, but it ain't looking good right now.

Still better than Russ.

Well hopefully LeBron plays with some vigor tonight since Ohio State got an *** kicking tonight. :lol

Put this on your big screen with the volume up high so you can listen to Chickie Baby for an hour while you clean your house on a Saturday afternoon and you straight

Bruh the line switched like crazy...

Now I know why.

Come on AD...we need this game.

Ham probably just giving AD the night off.. can’t say he hasn’t earned it, hopefully the others will step up in his absence.
