**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

A championship team can still be built with lebron James as a #2 or 1A. As long as we trade AD and Westbrook to get the right pieces

Exactly. We went through like four years of exhaling whether our pick was gonna be given away or not during the tank years and all things considered it wasn't so bad (pick that became Mikal Bridges).

These picks won't have protections tho, I'm assuming.

Wish there was a way to 3-team it and net Hield/Turner AND Kuzma. And still have Bron/AD/Reaves/Walker/Bryant etc.

Bottom line, you have to make a decision one way or the other immediately. You either go all in (move the 27-29 picks) and try to max out what you have left of LeBron.

Waiting til next year does what? Makes him even older and more mileage on that engine.

I'm fine either way, but they gotta stop straddling and pick a damn lane. Either go all in for this year with Steph/Booker beat up and try to make a run at it, or tear it down a little and try to add pieces for the next phase.

Sadly, LeBron chasing Kareem is probably not helping. He's only a few weeks away from the record, he doesn't want to sit out and rest so at the very least he can be in the best possible shape for next season.

They've essentially chosen to not do that by not moving those picks this summer with Russ.

They can't trade Bron. AD is hurt and will probably get hurt again whenever he returns.

(And I think you can play the middle, not give up the 2027/2029 picks and improve the team)

Washington got no reason not to trade Kuzma away, expiring deal, already said he's opting out. Either let him walk for nothing or trade him for something.

Bev (expiring) + Nunn (expiring) + 2 2nd round picks, get a little more off the books and some 2nds. (from Washingtons perspective) They can definitely help Washington tank harder and could possibly flip Bev to somewhere else

Pat Bev and None ain't getting you anything of substance, as much as we all wish that was the case.
Attach seconds and be willing to eat salary and I think they could get marginally decent forward.

What happened to the NY deal. Fournier and Reddish don't even play.

Heard they maybe willing to move Hartenstein too.
