**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

I see your 30-40% and raise you 50-60%

And the answer is…

... and he gets killed for it. By damn near everyone. As he should.

Almost good it happened how it happened and they pulled him. Stress reactions lead to stress fractures.

I knew it wasn't Lis-Franc, but foot injuries can linger and be a *****. Especially for bigmen. Sucks he has to miss time but almost like a few years ago when he had the right achilles tendinosis. Caught it. Cool. Rest and test until he's good to go.

Problem with AD is the injuries pile up and next thing you know something else is hurt. Hopefully that isn't the case this time.

We know he's coming back. Cool. Probably not until mid to late Jan. You can make a smaller trade that gives Bron (and Rustle lol) firepower to keep them afloat until then.

The dysfunctional Brooklyn Nets are now 23-12, second in the East, and have won 10 in a row, and there are whispers that Myles Turner is a BKN trade target 👀

Lakers' options gonna be down to Boogie Cousins and Hassan Whiteside

I get that but by the time he returns how far back will we be outta the play in? And does it make sense to make a move just for the sake of making one?
That's the thing, it's not making a move just to do it. It's about building an actual team instead of doing this instant oatmeal bs every year. You have more ways to maneuver midseason than in the summer. They're not saving cap space to chase a star. They're doing it to dodge the tax

If the latter is true this summer and they don't chase a star or multiple pieces then sure burn them at the stake. If a deal presents itself that makes sense and we're still within striking distance of the play in, sure. But that doesn't sound like what Bron is pushing for.

I like Bryant and Gabriel for what they are, but they needed a trustworthy defensive big before AD went out, need one so much more now. Just getting a guy that can play 10-15 MPG would be huge.

It's weird how Pelinka hasn't talked since media day. Like you haven't heard a word from him since September.

Some GMs do pressers the day after the trade deadline, but I can't remember if Pelinka does (wanna say no).

Still BS they trotted out Worthy for Mikan's jersey retirement when everyone knows that's Jeanie's job.
