I’m sure it’s some Kobe fans who can’t stand Lebron no matter what he does. Hell if you go in the comment section of a lot of these Laker social media pages and you’ll hear people talk about how they were huge Laker fans until Lebron came and how they can’t wait until he leaves so they can be Laker fans again. That **** is lame to me.
Lebron is arguably a top 3 player of all time, you have to respect that. He also does some stuff which can alienate fans as well. Namely the passive aggressive subliminal stuff when things aren’t going his way. Both can be true. But people have selective memories and pick and choose what stuff they want to remember. Kobe, RIP and someone who is my favorite player of all time wasn’t the easiest to deal with, he requested a trade and made it clear he wanted out after the 06-07 season. Magic did the same. Granted those two have a much longer history with the Lakers and won multiple titles and are beloved on a much higher level. But Lebron isn’t the first Laker superstar to express frustration at front office mismanagement.

If it was up to me I'd make a trade ASAP. Healthy Lebron and AD is as good as it gets. Not really interested in any of the stars that might be available (Beal/lavine) so no need to give up both picks. But I'd trade 1 pick for a guy like Turner if he signs an extension first. If a team like Toronto has a fire sale gotta pursue that.
If it doesn't work out the contingency is already in place with a Lebron trade in the summer. A deal with Cleveland starts with Jarrett Allen at minimum just to match salary. You can replace/upgrade guys like beverly/brown/JTA with the filler from that trade. Might even get a pick from that deal. Then moving forward you have a core of AD/Allen/Reaves/Christie/Jones with cap space to spare and 1+ future firsts to work with. Anything less than that is mismanagement. For various reasons, it's more advantageous to rebuild this team midseason than it would be in the offseason. If they don't do **** you already know what time it is

Any one or combo of FVV, Trent jr, OG, Siakim would catapult us for next year. Even if lebron asks out you still have AD/Allen/OG and a pick etc.

One way to help would be to build a good team before the season starts so AD isn’t forced to play playoff/MVP level ball to carry this team to playin territory. But that would require planning and foresight.
Rob and Jeanie really think the fans are stupid.
They know that they can’t do any good trades right now because they are bad at their jobs. If they make a bad trade now, they would be forced to fire Rob in the summer and the calls for Jeanie’s head would be even louder.
Instead they’ll just ride this out and be like “klutch had our hands tied, we’re actually the good guys” and the team will be **** until Jeanie is forced to sell in 2033.
MAKE A ******* TRADE. Take the 60 million that Russ, Bev & Nunn make, package it with whatever picks and get like 2-3 actual nba players. I beg of you.
