**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Pelinka blew his chance to acquire Turner and Hield cause he lacks vision.

Hield and Turner's Pacers are #6 in the East. Lakers could've had Buddy and Myles had they parted with the 2 FRP's before the season started.

But it's too late now cause IND is in playoff contention, unless by some miracle the Pacers go on a major losing streak in the next 30 days.

And before we question whether or not Buddy and Myles are worth two first rounders, midas whale ask yourself what type of return sorry *** Gobert fetched.

Ntm both Buddy AND Myles were both first round picks themselves so how can the idiot media and those who choose to believe them say that Buddy and Myles ain't worth a FRP each? Lol

Lakers blew their chance and now they're left with trying to salvage whatever they can get for Nunn and Pat Bev looking like a desperate franchise that no team probably wants to work with.

The nerve. How you gonna trade top 75 big name player with an MVP award for two no-names?

This is LA. We get big names bruh

Thank you for confirming how and why Pelinka lacks vision

Might i add..Reaves can do what Russ does but better. All Ham gotta do is make AR the Point Guard whether starting or off the bench. Russ being on the team prevents AR from fully taking over Russ's role

The two guys to get close to Kobe’s 81, we passed over to draft Dlo

Hindsight 20/20 but damn
Shows you how easy it is to tank. D'lo was basically the Luka of his draft class in terms of being the top guard prospect. Fans would've had a fit if the Lakers took Mitchell or Booker because absolutely nobody had them going that high in the draft. Not as simple as just losing every game and magically ending up with a generational prospect

I feel like Book and Mitchell were more promising players in their first two years than Dlo was. I remember Dlo being slow as hell, couldn’t get by Boris Diaw and other bigs when they switched onto him.

Fans would’ve gotten over not drafting him pretty quickly imo. Just interesting where those 2 guys careers have gone compared to Dlo

That wasn't the point bro . Both of them got drafted 13th. Nobody in the league was going to draft them that high. The Lakers have such a great scouting department and they took D'lo because it was the right pick. And it was considered a disappointment that they couldn't land KAT because he was supposed to be the next great big man and we see how that is playing out. Not all drafts are created equal and the best prospect isn't always readily apparent and injury proof

You’re right. Mitchell was in the Lonzo/Fox draft. I’m trippin

It was Mudiay and Dlo :lol

Lakers only 5 games back in the loss column from having home court in the first round.

With Bron averaging 30-8-7 and AD playing like an MVP again, Lakers are in no way shape or form even remotely thinking about punting the season.

Lakers are equidistant from a guaranteed playoff spot and next to last place with no definitive timeline for AD to return. By MLK day we'll be one way or the other.

Pat bev and Nunn and 2 firsts for kuzma is what it will end up being

LOL

crazy we could have had porzingis instead of dlo, and tatum or fox instead of ball.

porzingis injury prone tho

ingram and jaylen brown a wash

we draft really well in the late rounds but have no idea what were doing with high draft picks

Add UTA to the list of major sellers at the deadline and you could prolly come away with 3+ depth pieces for Russ contract if you really want.

They'd be in New Orleans anyway

Luke was too laid back. Too chill. I never saw him command the team, really. He was never going to be a winning head coach in the NBA.

Might be nice to get off Damian Jones' salary too. It's a minimum, but clearing $2M isn't insignificant either.

Even worse they gotta pay AR in the summer because of our front office is incompetent.

Austin would've had to agree to that 3 year deal that limits his earning potential. I wasn't there and don't know how that negotiation went down. Incompetence is always a possibility however
