The Reaves situation was tricky; He forced his way to go undrafted and signed with the Lakers as a two-way. But by September, the Lakers saw he was way better than a regular two-way guy and signed him to a regular contract instead. But they couldn't offer a three year because free agency was well over by that point.

However the Max Christie situation was completely unavoidable because you figured they would've learned from the THT and Reaves situations (plus Clarkson). Don't think anyone was banging on Walker's door to give him the NTMLE.

It's low and he'll be restricted that it shouldn't be a big issue. Just gotta hope a team doesn't throw a big offer sheet early on in free agency. So important to be in lock-step with him and his agent.

Might be nice to get off Damian Jones' salary too. It's a minimum, but clearing $2M isn't insignificant either.
