Next 4 games will be very tough

Assuming we go 1-3

Record will be 21-27

Which means we’ll have to go 20-14 in the final 34 games to reach .500

.500 should get the 10 seed based on current standings

Thoughts:

1) if lakers reach free agency without a trade, or make a trade bringing back ONLY expirings. Then the lakers WILL avoid the repeater tax. A Russ trade essentially means: giving up assets PLUS paying more taxes. You think Jeanie wants that? Lol

2) if the lakers only want to go big game hunting (Beal or Lavine). Then trading Russ for a first rounder (don’t laugh) might be the only way to make that happen . Russ for Fournier, reddish and Rose plus 1 of their 8 first rounders (will prob be Milwaukee’s). Then this summer they could combine Fournier 18 mill + 2027 + 2029 + Milwaukee 2023 pick + 2023 NOLA pick + 2028 swap for Beal. (Beals deal works into our cap plus Fournier 18 ). If we don’t make a deal this year to bring back a 10+ mill for next year, we can’t trade for Beal bc he wouldn’t fit into our cap unless we sign and trade Reaves which is hustling backwards. This is unlikely unless they have a wink wink deal with Beal and wizards ownership lol
